Guild Wars 2

My main is a Necromancer and in sPvP I run a staff bunker build utilizing wells, consume conditions and staff 4 to have three different condition dumps as well as permanent regen from staff 2.

It’s a sturdy build when combined with death shroud and plague form, enabling me to survive indefinitely against 1, sometimes 2, and against 3 I can defend long enough to keep the point in my color until backup arrives. It’s fun as hell, because it’s so hard to die. Damage is constantly pouring out thanks to staff skills, though it’s not very high (but doesn’t need to be).

I’m curious what other classes have fun bunker builds. I have a Guardian but I’m not enjoying it as a bunker. It’s sturdy, but just not very fun. I saw a defense specced Elementalist who was able to tank 2-3 of us and also had a knockback.. that seemed fun.

Which classes have fun bunkers?

Humm… I can’t help with you’re question ostracize.8316, …. but I might just have to roll up a Necromancer and give that a try.

Most classes are able to spec ‘bunker’ style by stacking a lot of toughness/vitality and defensive cooldowns.

eng bunker with turrets?

Engi is really fun bunker. Turrets are pretty trash though imo. Engi bunker has a lot of dodging around and using knockbacks to keep people off your node.

Try ele bunker build, its pretty fun with a staff and amazing with d/d

Yep, engi bunker with bombs/shield/CC is a super-fun playstyle….nothing beats pinballing your opponents around with explosions and knockbacks, and kits add depth and complexity to keep things interesting.

I like my ele, i didnt make it a bunker neither its fully defensive. I yust made sure i have enough defense to be able survive for a while against 2 people and from there on all went into damage. Especially toughness builds using cantrips combined with
Might stacking because of the cantrip trait in fire and then for example siil of battle really makes you feel like a jack-of-all trades which is great in any role you want to be

Beware.. Good eles require micromanagent.. ALOT and with quick reflexes
