Good evening Ladies and Gentlemans!!

My name is Kaane Moka,NA server (the Eles Char I use in game) now officially, open the class that will teach people how to counter an OP Eles. I am far from pro but I believe I am decent enough to understand how the class works and how to counter it. The class is open to anyone who has trouble dealing with Eles. All is welcomed. I am also up for any challenge, feel free to contact me in game or send me a message.

I am also looking for someone who can actually do Fliming to help on filming all the action fot the class. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

When did Eles become OP? Seem ok balanced to me. Bit Tanky but that’s fine when they build for it.

Since like forever Val, I don’t see Eles as OP but I guess it just me and you and other that do Understand Eles

Run away or call for backup trying to survive, he would just rtl away when outnumbered.

Seriously this is probably the best and fastest way to deal with eles in tpvp atm.

At the moment, in PVP, we only have Conquest mode, which the objective is Hodling point. By making opponent (Eles) to RtL away, won’t you just win the battle already? Why chasing him and have to kill him down? If it is for the Glory Point that concern you, since you already tag him, no matter who kill him, you still get the Glory Point. And with my experience playing in sPvP, chasing down any class alone is a very risky move. First, you leave your post open to opponent to re-capture,second you will be in trouble if that is a trap to kite you to his friend. Only chasing down when u are in a group, and even so, Eles can not get away because if your group is good, they will immobolize him.

Tip to stop RtL: Immobolize him, done.

RTL is an instant cast. You can predict when he’s gonna use it, but it’s far from a 100% counter and usually just wastes the immob as it doesn’t work if he’s already RTLing. Immobs are few and far between on most classes as well.

And your lack of understanding the value of speed and why it makes eles so strong in tourneys leads me to believe that you shouldn’t be preaching to players that have played against eles in the same build for months on end. We understand how to “beat” an ele, and we have “beaten” eles before. They’re just exceptionally hard to deal with and very frustrating to most players.

^rtl has no casting time but its not “instant”.Instant spells can be used while being stun from what i ve seen so far:P
That means you can cc him mid cast and believe things like head shot are effective.Plus immobilises work they just tend to miss if they are projectiles..and i also had experienced a few situations where rtl would keep me going while i have the chains of the immob.But they are obviously meant to work
Btw once a d/d ele used the earth pre patch 3 version on me while i was rtling and we both travelled together 1200 units..It was hilarious

Yea, mid RTL immobs don’t work. If a guy switches to air attunement and a guardian chains him before it’ll work. If the guy casts RTL 1/4 of a second before the guard immobs him he’ll still go the full distance. It’s also immune to cripple/chilled.

Between that, lightning flash and a decent amount of fury they have the most mobility in the game. It’s rivaled by warriors, I know, but we all know how warriors fare these days. What’s the point of being mobile if you’re just gonna die wherever you go?

When an Else switch to air attune while in low health and he has been used all of his cartoon,and his heal not so long ago and the water attument he just switch out on CDs,while Being alone you can predict 100% he get ready to escape with RtL. I do understand the I important of Speed,it is just because of that,people claim Eles excel at Burst and Tank at the same time ,while also excel at mobility,Open overall does it sound logic to you? If some people does have brain in their head and learning the class,I would not trouble myself right now.

Also always notice the rocks that are flying around them. This means they have stability and you shouldn’t burn your CC there.

Retaliation is a great tool against D/D eles as they have 2 breath attacks that hit many times in a row. Seeing as you have high armor, you will be able to return almost all the damage from those attacks.

Keep constant pressure and leave no space. Sword is good because you can hit them from medium range and also close the distance with #2.

Also be aware of churning earth (that charged skill that causes rock spikes to blast trought the ground). Don’t think you can get away from its range since most eles know how to tele-cast. Time your dodge or block. You get the hang of the timing very quickly.

Thank you for all the tips. Tips for dodging CE:Count down 2.75s to nearly 3s Since he cast his CE.I assume no one knows what a CE casting animation looks like,if not pls contact me ASAP.You will be able to dodge,Flash or No Flash.

I generally Doom Elementalists out of their RtL into Corrupt Boon if they have any, and then chain more fears.

Part of me agree with you and part of me don’t since some people claim a class being Op due to misinform,in fact the class is good but no way near Op as some people claim because of some reasons.

Ele are not really OP but when you have only one game mode which is a conquest mode and you give a high mobility to few classes it is stupid.
Atm in TN you have most of time 2 tanks and 3 roamers with a high mobility (mesmer, ele, thief).
More game mode like HoH or GvG could balance the game and allow different efficient team build.

Completely agree with this,don’t know when they will add more Mode….
