I think the mechanics are fun and going in an interesting direction, and not really here to talk about the gameplay of it.

However, visually, the map is quite unpleasant to look at, especially when comparing it to the new Capricorn map. The art team did such a fantastic job on Revenge of the Capricorn, it’s a bit disappointing to see the look of the Colosseum :-(

Luckily, it’s still in beta, so hopefully they can spruce it up (without needing to change the underlying collision mesh, since that would affect gameplay balance that is being tested).

i absolutly hate double ress for guards or anything else,on the other hand auto stomp shoud be implemented in normal game

Colliseums really did look like that. This was circus entertainment with “scenes” that would be quickly changed over the course of the day. I was something like a series of movie sets to give variety to the killing. I think ANET got that part right.

The strong visuals are and should be in the surrounding area. The crowd seating and the spawns for the artifacts would be permanent structures and so, more elaborate.

It would be cool if there were,say, 3 scenes possible. When you entered the colliseum, you’d never know just which battle scenario you were going to get.

If we’re dropping our thoughts here about the map. Here are mine;

POSITIVES
- The node circumference being smaller is cool. Skirmishes off point happen more often.
- The obstruction from seeing across the map is actually the best part of this map. Keep that. Makes the middle node tactically important. It also makes stealth plays way more viable.

NEGATIVES
- Don’t like the colour of the ramps and elevated floors, feels and looks displeasing to my eyes. I would prefer rock walls like in courtyard but that’s just my personal taste
- I don’t like the buffs as it stands because they don’t seem impactful to me. But to be honest, I’d love to play with them in ranked queue to get a better feel for it. That’s where I can tell if one thing is better or not. Unranked, doesn’t tell me how useful those buffs will be when every match is stomp or get stomped.
