Hey everyone and thanks for reading. I have been away for almost a year, I was a 100% WvW player. Now I want to try my luck at sPvP. I was thinking Ranger or Mesmer, but after looking around the forums I am not sure anymore. I know I don’t want to run an Ele, just not a fan of the class.

So I guess I am a beginner again. So what class does everyone recommend I try out? This will be almost only solo hot join.

Never tried a ranger but it looks like they might get buffed in the next few months or so.

Just pick something, play it, if you like then stick with it until you get bored. Only you know what you like best. Unless you are asking which profession is most OP and easiest to play?

Unlike WvW, sPVP gear is mostly free with no startup cost.

If you’re not playing in the top tier of spvp/tpvp you can play any class. There seems to be a mostly viable spec for all classes. Recently I have been playing S/D zerker ele just because it’s the class I knew the least about. You can get eaten by thieves but it’s still fun.

I love watching people go in for a res and cleave a whole team down.

glassbow ranger. If you can manage to play it, the reward is great. Until you reach the point where you can play it good – you are constantly respawning.
