Something I’ve noticed is that a number of people I play with don’t know about the community run PvP tournaments.

I think that the PvP scene would benefit if more people knew about these tournaments.
Perhaps upon reaching legendary, an info paragraph of sorts could be displayed saying something along the lines of:

“Congratulations on reaching legendary rank in PvP! The PvP community runs a number of amateur tournaments with gem prizes for players just like you. Head over to <url> to see a listing of events that may interest you. Join with a team, or even sign up as a free agent!”

It would be so awesome if we could have crier NPC’s yelling about upcomming tournaments.

For instance for worlds, have the crier npc’s in hearts of the mists and in the major cities, hyping the event, with banners and witty dialogue, so it seems to be a part of Tyria, this might also connect a bit with the people that dont play pvp.

Make it like a seasonal pve event, since worlds and seasonal championships, come up all the time.

Its sad when a lot of your pvp’ers, dont even realize world championship is on, especially when you have all theese options to catch peoples attention.

Another thing i dont understand, why they havent put in the game, is an integrated tournament interface, that automatically runs tournaments every weekend, for all divisions.

So a newbie tournament for amber. one for emerald etc. and all the way to legend / pro league. with increasing rewards.

Im thinking rewards like gems, gold, Black lion weapon skins etc. nothing that will cost anet anything.

I played another pvp game that had this and it was massively popular, there was a carrot to be had and there was a clear path of progression to get into better tournaments, which is something i think we lack.

It was also sometimes quite hilarious to watch tournaments from lower divisions, some crazy plays, since both teams are bad
