If you are granted the win points for volunteering to swap to the (usually losing) other side during a game, you should be granted the same benefit for hotjoining a game where there is really little to no hope of winning at all due to the points difference.
(eg, 100+ vs 400+)
Otherwise people will just rejoin another game assuring the imbalance remains and the team have no chance of catching up.
Fair is fair.
If you are playing hotjoin for the rewards, you are doing it wrong.
