Ok, so PVP is stepping in the right direction. 1v1 tournaments is the best thing to happen to this game so far. Decreasing it to 1 ticket was a welcome suppose when I logged on. Now, we need to change something else.

Monetization.

If we’re gonna make this an esport, then first it needs to be proven to anet that this can and will make money. To do this is rather simple. Have a PVP section for BLTC.

What would this include? Skins, Gear, Slivers, Powder, Glory boosts, weapons, cosmetic mounts like the broom stick, etc. make it so people want to spend money to get that cool stuff.

Next step, layout change. When I first played, I didn’t even know hot join existed. I jut naturally went to the tournament area as see was easier to see.

Until about 3 days ago I didn’t even know svanir and chieftain were on the map. 1 month Into playing I realized there were class dummies as well.

The last two are probably my fault, but we have no way to explore. No reason to. And it’s simple isn’t it? Make a quest! Make us explore. Have us kill 10 training dummies. Have us kill a character class. Have us kill a boss.

Next, have a label for the vendors. When we look at the map, say “Gear Vendors” on it.

Finally, take all the advice out there for pvp. Make free tournaments with the one map style solo/duo que that contributes to your matchmaking score. Also include free tournaments like now so we can test the maps in preparation for weekly/monthly. Include a matchmaking system for as many tournaments as possible.

Have the 5v5 hot joins at the top, rather than 8v8. This lets players automatically choose 5v5 since they don’t need to scroll, and gets players used to the tourney style play.

Implement a new game mode. People are getting bored. Yes I understand its on its way, I just want to include as much as possible. Capture the flag style would be sweet. Make it a quaggan flag too please

Keep the 1v1, and add the 3 map tourney style for weekly/monthly tourneys. You can only enter these If you’ve done X paids or something. Hopefully you can implement a minor matchmaking but if it makes queues too long for the good teams don’t bother.

Have better things for glory. Let us buy dyes. Let us do something. I’m not sure what else to be honest but if its something really cool you’ll have more people wanting to buy glory boosters from the gem store.

This is for you anet. I love this game. Lets make it’s place as the best mmo.

Anyone else who wants to leave suggestions post here. I want anet to read this and hopefully change comes for the better. I have faith always have

One word:

Endless Custom Finishers.

Okay, that was a few more than one.

But seriously. Add a variety of Gem-store Finishers, that are permanent items.
Click the item and gain the finisher buff for an hour, without consuming it.

Could be guild finishers, name-finishers, whatnot.

I’d buy the announcer voice done by Gilbert Gottfried. But in all seriousness, I would probably purchase different announcer voicepacks. and it is something that would not be exceedingly difficult to place in game.

I think it would be a bit too expensive to put into the game for the estimated return, they’d have to hire up all new voice actors for each pack. This is actually the reason why Legendary Skins used to cost more in League of Legends than normal skins; they had different voice overs (now they actually have some more particle effects as well).
With the spvp population being as low as it is, and the % of ppl actually willing to buy a feature like that, let alone who play with game un-muted, it would be extremely hard for anet to make a profit off of.
Particle-heavy gear skins are the way to go imo, it’s cheep and easy to do. The art department could just knock out new ones each week and make boatloads of cash off of all the people tired of seeing their character in the same gear as everyone else all day.

Let us buy Morgan Freeman to announce every time we kill someone.

The one thing keeping me from tournaments is required premade teams, you can PUG ranked games in LOL, why not here? especially for free tournies.

Ya but a dedicated Solo Queue would be better. Duo Queue wouldnt work too well to start with, so just do Solo for now and it’d be fine.
