Hey! So I’ve been thinking about the decay system and one thing just kept bugging me. Since you can recover all your lost rating points by playing few games, can’t you just exploit this by letting yourself plummet to lower divisions where rating points are much easier and faster to obtain and essentially climb the ladder after you recover your decay points? I’d love to hear from you guys!

Your effective rating never decays, just your leaderboard rating. So when you come back, you’ll still be fighting the same tier of players you were before.

Yes, of course you will climb faster, but only back to the point where your decay started. Right after that you skill rating gain\loss will just settle again.
