When will something be done? I dont want to play ranged, I dont want to cast “spells” but abilities. I want a a basic warrior to be at least viable (it isnt), I want a stealthy rogue to be viable (it isn’t). All these basic archetypes are just thrown out the window and kittenous meta has formed, condi reapers excel at everything, everybody slowing melee, block and weakness which doesnt even reduce condi damage lol since nothing should be able to counter condis completely. DH trappers noobing it up with literal Cruise Control gameplay. Making classes completely useless is such good game design… While we have revenant with insane burst, evade and unkillable mode heal and RANGED melee.

What a mess.

I win against 4-Necro teams all the time… 3 Necro teams all the time… 2 Necro teams all the time.

Spell = a skill. In GW2 every ability is called a “skill”. Everyone has skills so spell meta doesn’t make sense because every single skill in the game is essentially a “spell” in a way.

Anyway… so many people are bothered by condis and when I look at what they play, they have literally 0 defense against condis. What do you expect will happen?
Meanwhile I hit people for 100000k with a hammer rev with POWER damage from Saturn.

With chill spam the fine positional art of footsies has become almost irrelevant. Can’t really jocky for position when you dodge a chill but get chilled anyway.

Anyway… so many people are bothered by condis and when I look at what they play, they have literally 0 defense against condis.

The problem is you need to actively take utilities or specifically trait (like a water trait that cleanses burning and chill upon dodge) to cleanse conditions whereas simply having the right weapon can apply them. As a rev I have chill on sword for example.

That argument cuts both ways. Every weapon set in the game deals power damage, yet to get power defense you have to take utilities.

The reason people complain about condi is because this game doesn’t let you have both strong power defense and strong condi defense on the same build. Given the choice between power defense and condi defense, most players tend to pick power defense over condi, which leads to a disproportionate amount of the playerbase running around with little to no condi defense.
