Condition thief is terrible for the meta game
Have to agree, condition thief is way over the top, the perceived difficulty of its game play is in no way a free pass o steam roll other clases.

Maybe if you know how to mitigate getting hit and using a Condi clear or two properly you wouldn’t have issues.
It is shut down by so many builds and any semi competent player.

God forbids builds that have limited condition clear to ever enter the game again to facilitate the existence of one lame build in terms of gameplay.
People need to get their head straight.
Stating that the build is not high-end doesn’t justify it is balanced. It is simply not good for the gameplay or for build diversity.

Absolutely not.
I have been playing fresh air ele. I am taking cleansing water for condition removal. I can fight condition mesmer. I can fight condition reaper. I can also fight condition guardian. They are hard to play against but they won’t one shot me leaving me no chance to disengage.
But against condition thief, there is literally no chance due to the nature of burst condition application and many gap closer.
It would be nice if condi builds were also damage over time builds so you could have a decent amount of time befor you died from lack of condi clear…………..

The condition thief is one example of moving condition damage into burst damage rather than pressure over time.
IMHO, this is just terrible game design.

I can condi cleanse through condi thief burst with a staff.
And that’s when I’m feeling lulzy.
How are you not practically 2-shotting them, I know FA damage is not that low and I know you have enough mobility to keep them on their toes.
Are we playing the same class?
I am so confused with why people are having issues with this build?
I’m more irritated about the constant duo necro boon strip and condi necro bombs that, for some reason, I keep getting paired against.
