Condition transfer Order?

Condition transfer Order?

I play Necro, usually a team support/bunker build and I depend on staff #4 (putrid mark) and Dagger #4 (Deathly Swarm) to get rid of conditions as I use Well of Blood to heal and don’t have consume conditions to depend on. Lately (since the newest patch) I have noticed that I am having trouble getting rid of bleeds/poison when fighting condition builds, at least in 1v1 and sometimes 2v1 fights (me being the 1).

I do understand that they nerfed putrid mark to only remove 3 conditions per target (atleast in spvp since it kind of was OP), although I don’t think it was not listed in the patch notes, but now I can’t seem to get rid of bleeds/poisons reliably when fighting a low amount of people who can spam almost every condition. I am guessing that they added some condition removal order or a condition transfer order where bleed/poison is last on the list. Soo my first question is: Can anyone confirm/deny this? (because maybe its all in my head).

But here is another thought (if this is true), could this also be the reason why conditions seem to be really OP after this patch? If people can’t get rid of bleeds/poison anymore reliably how can anyone fight against condition builds? If necros/ranger/engies/mesmers can spam you with other conditions and you use a condition removal that removes 6 conditions (say fighting 2 people and using putrid mark) although bleed was applied first you don’t remove that and still continue to take damage. (all the while they are stacking more bleeds on you so you take more damage). Again maybe all of this is my imagination….

If this is the case, and there is some removal order could Anet at least put bleed/poison in the middle of the list so that it can actually be removed when fighting condition spam opponents?

If you get through my wall-o-text and have any input please reply!

I was testing condition removal order the other day with a friend and it’s mostly random. He was on his engi throwing condition nades at me and I cleansed. Sometimes bleeds would go first, sometimes vulnerability, sometimes burn. Blind and poison seemed to be the last ones cleansed.

The best way to cleanse vs condi spam is to have a full condi cleanse to remove all the cover conditions that are initially applied (use once their skills are on cooldown) then a minor condi cleanse (that removes 1-2 condis) to use after that to clear the newly built up burn/bleeds from their auto attack.

To the best of my knowledge, conditions have always been removed/transferred on a last in, first out rule. In other words, if you get hit with poison, then burning, you would remove burning with your condi remove.

Most grenades inflict vulnerability and another condition at the same time (with a 25pt trait) so it’s possible that those could be random—I’ve never tested.

Condition removal can appear to favor certain conditions because certain conditions are always being re-applied. For example, bleeding is often the last stack updated in a fight because it’s applied easily, so it’s often the first to go. Poison is often “covered” strategically by your opponent.

Here’s a link to a thread where I did some very quick testing. There is in fact a pre-determined condition transfer order. Condition removal skills/traits however still appear to be random, or at least not a set order like condition transfers are.
