Conditions.
Conditions are needed.
the only good effective way to beat Thieves, Guardians, Mesmer and Elementarist is via conditions.
Nerf conditions and turn those classes OP (some then more OP that alredy are)
aren’t you playing condi engie ?
The same issues regard engies, they run with 30 points in explosions and it happens the same exact thing.
Engies can’t afford a nerf to conditions, there are things that should even be buffed in engi kitten nal.
If anything, nerf silly AI spam and Dhuumidiotfiremyass, so that necros won’t go for 30 in spite anymore.
Worst balance change in MMO history, wtf.

I play every class except for ranger and mesmer
Not, i not engineer.
But the classe is needing nerf, several nerf.

Yeah but if engies get condition builds nerfed to the ground I’ll feel super hipster playing a power engineer!
On topic: conditions in general are a great mechanic. I love condition management and to a lesser extent, the tactics of applying and covering important conditions. They are necessary to bring the massive damage over time required to bring down full bunker builds, eventually. Condi builds are just a tiny bit strong right now, nothing to get worked up over. No need to overreact—like we did when we kept on continually asking for massive buffs to the professions we thought were still weak.

Weakness is too strong right now.
And necro is a moving nuclear reactor of conditions, which get further buffed by that idiotic AI spam called ranger.
There are classes that are easily faceroll and ridicolously strong for it, and it’s due to conditions.
Random burning procs everywhere, and engies are related too.
No counterplay allowed, it just shouldn’t be like this.
It’s not that conditions are that out of control, the point is that condi pressure builds are so strong right now that the condi pressure is unbearable for most classes.
Spirit ranger needs to be demolished, it shouldn’t exist.
Necros should NEVER AGAIN run 30 Spite in a condi build.
Engi Incendiary Powder trait needs to be shown as a buff, reduced to “1 sec burning for next 4 hits” in order to avoid condi duration stacking, and should show how many charges you still have, just like sharpened stones and venoms.
This is all that should be done with conditions, along with a good nerf to weakness: back to 25% instead of 50% would be a good start, you can keep “all hits are affected”.

Maybe. I’d say that’s a lot of changes to make all at once. Remember when they gave necros burning and torment and suddenly they became everyone’s worst enemy?

And they should just go back from it.
Most changes should be undone, burning to necros and weakness buff are good examples.
We’re in this state exactly due to this , and due to “petting zoo” buffs.
Currently most classes ( necro, ranger, war, S/D thief) are in S tier, this means they should be nerfed hard, not that other classes should be buffed.
No more power creep, really.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect the devs to just reverse the last several balance patches. First off, that looks very bad, and second, those buffs had the right intention, even if applied poorly. Balance was pretty good in May, but it’s also pretty good now, albeit with some shaving that needs to happen. I don’t think rolling back a bunch of changes is a reasonable request to make. Warriors and necros did need some buffs; it’s just that people got too zealous and thought that the changes had to be huge or it wouldn’t be enough.
Yeah, just looking at some of the abilities tells you that conditions today aren’t what they were designed to be.
Basically any ability today that doesn’t remove all your conditions isn’t worth it because they are so easily applied both passively and AoE.
Look at Singet of Agility for example, a Thief condition cleanse. It removes 1 condition on a 30 second cooldown.
You can picture how useful that is in the current meta game.
conditions offer huge reward for little risk, all you need is one stat, and most appliances are so passive.. you really dont need to be a good player to succeed…
now look at burst specs, no matter how good they play or how perfectly-timed their skills are, they will lose to easy-mode condition classes, you are pretty much forced to swap all your utilities and runes to cleanse conditions and lower its durations… burst classes are dead.
the game is in such a horrible state… passive > active.
