You are from EU and you think the only viable bunker is ele?
Actually bunkers are a welcome addition and a break from the insta burst you down meta. which is what its really ruining the game.

I totaly disagree with the OP, I wana see more versatility in PvP the burst only game is just single minded, we have a complicated and interesting combat mechanism where one build works against a specific build(s) but weak against other builds.
I find it amuseing when the not too viable condi ranger actually melting away a zerker because they didn’t have a single condi cleanse trait / utility.
Bunker is a role and even tho it’s hard to take one down, they can’t take you down either so it’s a perfect pay off.
With some more balance fix Anet could make a really fun game. (But fix bug first pleaseeee)

First dps is too high now bunkers and condi damage is broken. I dont understand when you can literally make what ever character you want and be some what competitive if done right.
What are you looking for? You want to run a pure zerk build and ko everyone you fight without thinking? For the first time in this game there are high risk high reward builds. You can tell from the upcoming wts. Though the eles will be the same across the board, every team will be running 3 other classes that are different.

i just weapon swap on warrior and the burning is gone, and they wasted all their cds. ez
to the OP, bunkers have been in gw2 since launch because its a capture point game. so it makes sense to have a tanky dude who stands in the circle to contest/hold while supporting their team. 5 glass cannons does not work so well for this mode.
as far as condi goes, eh. I find direct damage to be much more of a threat. it hits harder and faster.

I think the exact opposite. Burst isn’t skillful play to me. It’s simply pushing buttons quickly. Condi and bunker bring some element of strategy with them.

Yes and no. The poorly designed burst builds which usually become too powerful are as you’ve described. The better ones require timing when you button mash or setting up for the burst. You can’t just open up with the burst and win 90% of the time.

At least when dealing with engineer if you got all of that you didn’t dodge and on top of that they just blew through 30-40 seconds worth a cds. With one clear you negate all that damage. I think most players are getting better at reading the burn burn more burn builds.

In my opinion both direct damage and condition damage should be toned down. Why? It’s pretty simple. It’s quite obvious the damage is too high, zerker specs actually do not need to work for their damage at all. It would be a great game when you would be rewarded for playing well, not just mash all your keys in order to kill someone. It doesn’t help that stealth burst is a big part of the game, takes zero skill. Yes, they do die quite easily (some of them), but not everyone enjoys these one shot fests and it definitely won’t bring more players into the game, it’s even harder to watch.
And well the thing with condition damage is the fact it can do insane burst, depends only on one stat, is passive lots times and again doesn’t take much skill. Burning is obviously totally broken, but it’s not the only thing. The issue is that devs just have no idea about the numbers conditions should do, therefore some skills are insane.
In no means I only want cele specs to run around, nor push zerker/condition specs out of the pvp scene, the only thing I want is the game requiring you to have some skill. The fact direct damage is too high, doesn’t mean conditions are underpowered.

If you watched the wts which is still going on but after 4hrs and 5 in the morning im going to bed.
Otherwise what i was gonna say is you can see the polar opposites. The chinese team had a bunker guardian who the tcg avoided as much as possible and that guardian was in a stalemate vs a dps ele.
Thats how it should work, if players of equal skill are playing 1 bunker and 1 dps and its a draw thats good. You cant tell me dps and condi is too high when that all comes down to timing and targeting in team fights as well as good rotations.
Its impossible to understand what your looking for when your saying all dps is to high and the fact that bunkers are really good. You talk about people getting involved in the game and im sorry but Guild Wars 2 PvP is like the NBA. Not everyone will get in and understand.
People see ok shoot the ball put in the hole easy enough but didnt take into account all the other things. IMO people cling to mobas since they can be given a certain role and its easy to understand. Guild Wars 2 PvP means you have to people to ajust and change at any moment during the game. Making damage less wont change any of that.

The original profession description of ele when the game launched in 2012 : “very strong in duels , but easily overwhelmed when facing several opponents”
May find the original professions blog by Anet ^^ but..shouldn’t people be ready to accept reality, this is profession design, all working as intended, the ele was always supposed to be very strong in 1vs1, nothing else to say ^^
