Conditions need a nerf
Anyone say that your class balance is bullkitten?
Actually the resistance boon is what needs a nerf. Its way too powerful, allows you to avoid all damage from condis along with all soft CC. To get the same effect versus a power build you need not only the stab boon (and multiple stacks of it as well, even though a single stack of resistance is enough to nullify all conditions) but also an effect that grants invuln.
Why is it that Resistance is as powerful as both a boon and an effect combined? Its way too powerful, allows players to completely ignore condi builds entirely, which is just absurd.
First thing that needs to happen is to nerf Resistance and bring it into line with other boons. Then, after that happens, ANet can look at nerfing condition output of some classes.
If you die against a necro is a L2P issue. Also, the necromancer have only a single good consition combo and is when he’s in reaper Shroud (Rs5+Rs4), a combo si easy to avoid and so long to land that basicly never hit anyone that pay a minimun of actention on what he’s doing.
About the overall condition damage, only warriors and mesmers inflict enough condition damage to be dangerous as a Common power build. The engineer can inflict better condi damage but is really easy to kill while in that build.
the main problem is that people still don’t think that a condition damage would be high enough to kill you.
Conditions can kill you!
but there’s only two classes able to use it properly and frequently they use a direct build because is better in a lot of situations (as against someone with Resistance, that totally nullufy all the conditions damage and effects.).
Condition damage can kill you but if it is so good why only 3(or 4) classes use it and only 2 are truly dangerous?
(necro is not dangerous, you can kill him easy with more or less every class)

necro is one of the few classes with high enough damage he can bust bunkers. killing something easily doesnt mean it isnt dangerous. no matter how much you want to believe it.

My point is conditions shouldn’t be spammable, otherwise there’s no point for condi cleansing.
If you could cleanse all condis, what would be the point of using condis?

Bro you have comprehension difficulty? Allowing to use condis doesn’t mean you can spam a whole stack of them every 6 seconds like warriors do. That’s ridiculous.
If condis wouldn’t be spammable (which direct dmg is too), they wouldn’t be able to kill anybody with a decent build, because there is too much cleansing and healing.
Someone needs to learn to time their cleanses better. Also, OP talks about cleansing conditions a necro put on him just to have a warrior hit him more conditions, cause I guess he feels like he should just easily win a 1v2?
I find both necro and warrior can stack conditions faster than they can be removed while still having an otherwise viable build. I can build to do nothing but clear conditions and try to live for 10 seconds, but if I do that I’m doing zero damage. Like OP, if I don’t clear the that first burst of condi… I’m insta-downed… but then they throw the 2nd, 3rd and 4th set (doesn’t need to be 2v1) and it gets frustrating.

This would be a valid complaint if GW2 just involved 2 people standing still and casting spells at each other, fortunately that isn’t the case and you have the option to dodge, mitigate, or flat out avoid a lot of those conditions.
Yes, if you eat every single condition from a condi warrior without avoiding a single one, then you are probably going to go down, condi clear or not. On the other hand, if you take every part of a DH’s burst combo without blocking or evading, you will absolutely go down.
Just like the trick to fighting a power class is knowing how to take the weak attacks so you can avoid the hard hitting ones, the trick to fighting condi is learning how to eat a few conditions so that you can avoid the big bursts.
Problem with Condi War is Adrenal Healing is nuts, plus all the condi. Necro is no where near that level of output vs sustain.
In warrior’s defense, the mace skill is really obvious and can be dodged.
