Soooo, u’re saying that a warrior that slots 4 seperate sigils, 2 in each 2hander, will have an advantage over an engie, who slots 2 in his 2hander rifle. Why again?

i think imba is from say engi has at most two slots. say he uses 2 onswap sigils each with 10sec cd. then he can swap every sec, but only procs both (2) every 10sec.
while war has 4 sigils with 10sec cd. he swaps on on 5sec, procs 2, swaps on 10sec, procs ANOTHER 2, so war gets 4procs/10sec, while engi/ele get 2procs/10sec. its because the are limited at best to 2sigs, which have 10sec cd.

This, they can quickly utilize/double the effect of sigils by using 4 UNIQUE sigils because of quick swapping with different sigils on off-sets.

Warriors probably benefit the least from energy sigils in the game. This is due to dodge rolls being so abundant from traits (str 15), acting as a core component to survivability.
What other build makes good use of hydromancy/geomancy dps? Ele can, but it raises the existingly high skill cap on s/f, and it’s sub optimal to energy on everything else.
It’ll be interesting to see what they do with energy sigils (25% endurance etc) but as it stands warriors access to useful additional sigils isn’t as abundant as some might think…

Different sigils in each weapon. Takes 10 seconds to get back to the first set.
Example for ele:
ele equips a staff with sigil A and sigil B (both on swap)
Switch attunement and proc both.
After one second he switch to another attunement…both sigilis are still on CD for other 8 seconds…..needs at least 9 seconds to proc A and B again.
A HAMBOW warrior has
2 sigils on swap on Hammer A and B
2 sigilis on swap on Bow C and D
Warrior switches to Bow and proc C and D.
After 5 seconds warrior switches to hammer and proc A and B having effectively double proc compared to almost any other profession.
Not surprised…
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
It’s a hidden nerf for Ele and Engi.

IMO they should have a global 8 second swap and make quick hands 6 seconds. 10 sec is too long/annoying of a swap time anyways.

Hahaha was the first think I scared when i heared about this horrible change and even if they nerf all sigils warriors will always have an advantage over other classes because the sigil nerfs effects all classes…
An engi or ele are not in a better spot because the sigils have internal cooldowns and proc only every 9 sec + they can utilise only 2 sigils. Warrior can equip 4 and thus will always have the upper hand.
However, fits into everything arenanet is doing since release in order to destroy the game. Nerfing the most kittened class of the past 8 month by….. buffing it. Only works in the mysterious world of Jonathan Sharp and Karl MClain.
Up to this point warriors didnt have much dodges…I’ll promise that after this patch is going live sigil of energy will be abused even more simply because there is no drawback, when you can combine it with everything you want.

Doesnt change anything. Even if they nerf the sigils it will hurt everyone more than warrior. So the BALANCE will still favour warriors. There is no way round this short of making swap sigils actually have a negative effect (like when you swap weapons you lose 1k health) and we know that is obviously stupid and wont happen

This is not true since they also introduce that every sigil has its own cooldown. So there are no shared CD’s anymore.
Here an example:
You switch to weapon set A: Sigil 1 + 2 proc —> Wait 5 sec —> switch to weapon set B: Sigil 3+4 proc —> wait 5 sec —> Switch to weapon set A: Sigil 1+2 proc.
In this case the internal CD is irrelevant. But I guess not 1 Arenanet developer could see that coming.

Except that ele and engi are more likely to swap weapons closer to the ICD, since they automatically swap more often. Currently you could argue that ele and engi have an advantage when it comes to sigils, as they either have no cooldown on their swap (engi) or they have lower CD on their swaps to begin with (you can swap constantly on ele, since attunements all have individual cool downs).
