Congrats to Backpack!
More (unnecessary) salt and toxic behavior within the community – way to go, dude. As much as the Devs have contributed their end in the game staying well below it’s potential, we have one of the worst communities playing just as much a part. GG to us.
Be sure to rationalize the reasoning for doing these threads by citing somebody else already did it before me, so I made a response doing the same thing, and we can continue this train down the track with a dead-end.
While I was waiting for my chance at a precursor in the ToG stream today, I learned that Guild Wars 2 has an official best player. I’d just like to say Congrats and Well Done Backpack (Mike.4830). Even though your team got roflstomped, it must feel good knowing that you are the best player.
I’d also like to thank Heurix and Czech for providing the community with this valuable best player list:
Best Player List
1. Backpack
We actually base that statement on real ELO ratings and Backpack has earned the title we gave him on stream. You got the list wrong though, we have over 400 players rated internally based on their actual experience. MP has their ratings public atm and they rate almost a hundred players with many more to follow as DPS has given them our data from ToG.
Backpack’s team had a lot of players with less competitive experience than the Abjured and the Abjured is the best team in NA atm (something we also said more than once). They also happen to have the #2, #3 #4 and #5 players plus #12 according to MP’s rankings. Not really surprised by the results from today (Heurix and I both predicted the Abjured to win live on stream) though Im sure Backpack will agree his team could’ve played better in the finals than they did.
Not sure where the toxicity could come from but thank you for watching the stream! We def appreciated the viewership we got and the support we’ve seen from the community over the last month and a half! See yall next time!
Thanks for the link, the data is interesting

No problem! And ya, Olrun from MP has done a great job thanklessly compiling that for the community. It tracks MP weeklies and all events after ToL2 finals.
