Khalar Bladestorm – Pugmaster of AoA – Dungeon Master – Event Comander of AoA
Hey all
I enjoyed the pvp very much, but i would like to show you my concerns and what needs to change. All opinions are welcome to help Anet to re-structure the next pvp leagues.
The pvp pip system:
- Make a system where amber players can only play with amber. Emerald with emerald. Sapphire with saphire. No cross-sections between different divisions
- Add a system of pips like when you have 5 wins in a row: one more free pip, 10 wins in a row: 2 free pips etc. This will stimulate the players to put more effort in pvp.
- Re-imagine the amber/emerald/sapphire system. Too many people can reach easily the ruby divisions. By this way, too many (unexprienced) pvp players are getting in the teams and are ruining the MMR-system with the consequence: loses in rows.
-A VERY IMPORTANT CHANGE NEEDED: This system is being used in all games like call of duty, … except guild wars 2. When someone disconnects, the game will be frozen, nobody can move or use the skills. The skills will not be loaded. When the disconnected person returns, the match will go on again. If the disconnected person isn’t coming back, shut down the map and return to the heart of the mists, no pips for everyone. When you have a disconnected person in ur team, no pips will be lost. This is really needed in a game like guild wars 2.
What professions needs to be nerfed/buffed:
Elementalist: Too much heal
Druid: Too much heal
Revenant: Too much damage
Warrior: Better survival and more stability to traits/skills
Thief: Better survival and more health/toughness
Mesmer: Extend the loading time of shield skill 4 + 5
Guardian: Reduce the recharge of the Traps, they get loaded too easy.
Engineer: Ok in my opinion
Necromancer: Ok in my opinion, although less stability but not needed
Map-changes:
Legacy of Foefire
- Give more health to the lords and guards
- Give the lords the same health and stats like the lords from the strongholds
Forest of Nifhel
- More health and toughness to svanir/chieftain
All the other maps are fine.
These were my opinions. I know the frustrations of most pvp players. I was 2 days ago 4 pips away from diamond, and since then i get unexperienced players in my team. When we are premade, we get harder premade teams who are diamond. This needs to be changed drastically. I’m now 11 pips away from diamond and it seems the system wants me to prevent reaching diamond. All players are experiencing this so Anet need to look VERY closely into this.
