Why some of my matches load up for so long?
I got DC’ed because my game loaded up for a too long period of time, then I rejoined once again and I was phasing into HoTM for longer than 2minutes, but then I entered the match fairly quickly.
My teammates raged on me and threw names as they thought I was a leaver or afker and my team was already at a disadvantage with about 100 points gap.
In the end of the day we won with 30 points, guess I did my job well… but I lost a pip.
It happens once or twice in a week that I have such terrible loading times but most of the time I even download something or have an anti-virus do a scanning and my game loads up much faster then now while nothing is running.

Why is that? Is that my fault? It sucks to lose a pip in such way but at least I didn’t drag 4 of other players down with me so I guess it ain’t that bad
It would be nice if GW2 recognized if someone leaves the game on purpose or if a player gets DC’ed due to game trying to take too much time to load up.

I did this post while HoTM was loading up after this match I just described, it took me quite a chunk of time to do this post and it loaded just now.

That match would have been totally easy, and with your dc we had to work extremely hard to not fall too far behind. It was for approx 3.5 minutes a 4v5 situation, more so… it was the first minutes of the match, which are kinda crucial.

First you took forever to load into map, but then you were there and match started… then you didnt move and after some time you dc’ed… so yeah, our conclusion that you just went afk wasnt that far removed

As to your troubles. It sounds like you are loosing connection to server which causes those long loading times. Did you try crashing the game and re-starting it when your loading screen takes longer than usual?

You could try running a ping/tracert program like pingplotter to see if, when and where your connection gets lost.

Ohh right, now I remember that players are visible a short while after warping to different locations even if they still have a loading screen still up. This explains why I was called for afk’ing, understood.

I will try checking this out with one of those softwares you recommended Yasi. By the way, you were the one playing that match too? Sounds like you recognize me, which is nice
