Hello.
I apologize if this has been suggested before, or it simply is a really poorly thought-out system, but I have been thinking about something.

In arenas you often get into teams that are 4v5 or less or even worse than that. There is not really anything to do about ragequitters, but the team with less players will always be at a huge disadvantage.
But what if there was a system that would give a buff to the team that had less players, as a compensation?
Imagine this: You get into an arena and your team only has 4 people, while the other team has 5. Since you are missing one player you will get a buff that increases all of your stats by 25%.
You will still be at a disadvantage, but you you will have a much greater chance of winning since your team will get a huge buff.

The buff would depend on the amount of players in your team.
Full team = no buff.
4/5 = 25%.
3/5 = 40%.
etc.

And if the team with less players won they would get another 100 rank points.

I apologize if this is a terrible system, but I just wanted to hear if something like this would be beneficial.

This would be impossible to balance. Sometimes stats don’t matter at all compared to having an extra man(healing, CC, boons, debuffs etc all are not stat related) and other times it would be a total steamroll (imagine burst thief with even more power/precision but also extra toughness and hp).

Others have suggested that 1 player gets locked out til a teammate dies and that seems like a good enough solution.

i would say no because there will for sure be complaints about how unfair it is anyways.

better try to not let 4v5 happen with afk-queuers by implementing a ready button just before matchup with a 30sec timeframe and the main 4v5 problem will be solved.

pvp will never be cured of ragequitters or other elitists who think they are too good to go on playing.
