extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.
Or a master minor? 1 stack for 3 seconds, realistically every 15 seconds is way way way to weak for grandmaster level. Making it adept or a master minor would give necros a way to get a small amount of cc resistance which the class definitely needs. Then maybe give us another gm that gives stability, or team support. Please, getting tired of being a ping pong ball.
Master minor in death magic would be fair.

Revenant’s 3 point Master-minor stability on dodge roll is much more potent and reliable than this now. :/
Please do or just fix Foot in the Grave. Right now, its insulting to have a grandmaster be not even a 10th as effective as a utility skill on Elementalist.
assassin’s equilibrium says hi

A few differences between them.
1. Thieves have tons of ways of avoiding CC, even without Stability. Necros have Foot in the Grave (nerfed today) and the base 2 dodges. That’s it.
2. Assassin’s equilibrium realistically would only block 1 CC anyway, so it’s actual function is unchanged outside of extreme corner cases. Foot in the Grave would frequently block 2 or more due to the focus fire Necros receive as well as having a significantly longer duration.
3. Thief stunbreaks are on shorter cooldowns on average than Necromancer stunbreaks, meaning that when they do get caught by CC, the penalty isn’t as harsh.
4. Foot in the Grave was actually used :p
Not to say Assassin’s Equilibrium doesn’t need looking at, but it’s not that comparable to Foot in the Grave.

still doesn’t change the fact that it is grand master and pretty sad lol
WOWWW they nerfed that to the ground? Sigh.

No. They nerfed it to the grave
…I’m going to go sit in my corner now.
To be honest it will be buffed. They made the change but things slipped through the cracks (like Foot in the Grave). Cuz it’s not realistic for the trait to be so….. what’s the word….?
My guess is that it’s gonna be buffed/changed in some way. There really isn’t any alternative. It should pulse the Resistance boon or Stability, or both, to be a grandmaster…. cuz the way it is now…………………………………………………………………. is kitten
As far as the thief goes, assassins equilibrium could definitely use a buff and I would be all for that. The problem is foot in the grave was necros only option for resistance to cc besides two elites on a 180 second cooldown, and a well on a 50 second cooldown. We don’t have a ton of dodges, blinds, or stealth for sustain and our port options are very limited, so this trait was a way to get stomps, and avoid cc briefly. Now it is only useful for stomping in a 1vs1, and one cc, which is a joke were it was mainly useful in team fights.
Also, the only way to get high stability uptime on this trait was by flashing Death Shroud which is in general a bad option. In general, 5 traits in the necro trait lines are gated, or balanced, by the minimum time it takes to get enter DS twice which is 7 seconds. It’s extremely unrealistic in all, but pve and needs to be seriously reconsidered. As a minor or an adept it would at least be useable, but no one is going to justify taking it above that.

Any word that can really get across how bad it is will just be muted so: kitten.
It could:
Replace the Death Magic master minor trait. Nothing particularly wrong with the current one, but it is pretty boring as a flat stat boost.
Become an adept trait
Be a master/grandmaster trait in Death Magic or Soul Reaping, but with additional functionality, particularly a stunbreak on DS entry (could remove stability for this for all I care), much like Revenant’s get stun break on legend swap.
I disagree.
ANet should just revert the stability change. Its dumb.

I disagree here. I like it. Makes more sense, too. But the balance of applications needs looked at.

It has almost no effect in sPvP. But in WvW, it turned from an organized melee train into a ranged AoE fest.
Since it has no effect in sPvP, and ranged AoE fest is boring, might as well revert it.

“Organized melee train”, aka safe zerg fest. Yeah, good riddance. Sorry man, no support. That stuff needed broken up a bit.

Maybe because you don’t hear about bigger blobs destroying small groups no matter how skilled they are is because you don’t support. Maybe you don’t hear about groups ranging from afar being the meta is why you don’t support. Maybe you don’t hear about ranged groups existing with the organized melee train pre-patch is why you don’t support. Maybe you dislike real strategy and tactics is why you don’t support.
Organized melee train is far from safe. It requires rushing through a hail of Meteor showers, Barrage, frozen ground, and every AoE you can think of. It requires keeping everyone healthy with water fields and condi removal to get them ready to go. They are the foot soldiers in a war.
But, maybe you just like ranging from afar in a “safe zerg fest.” Which is why you don’t support.

not sure what you are saying, but guardians and warriors made up about 50% of organized zergs pre-patch.
