Counter to condi heavy teams?
You could try running a diamond skin elementalist, a necromancer, a warrior with berserker’s stance, or a condition bunker ranger. Those all do pretty well against other condition classes from my experience. Maybe conditions are just your weak spot right now though. You’ll find that if you go with a class that’s strong against condition builds, you’ll feel weaker against classes that can burst well, and vice versa. There aren’t really any builds that have no weaknesses lol. :P
I have been told a cele ele is strong against anything..maybe I am misinformed.
Nice to see that warrior weakness is conditions…he remains in the profession well designed to manage heavy condition teams…Iol.
Warrior’s weakness is condition.
Before berserker stance they just melt so fast in a team fight that no body wanted it.
Any way, when berserker stance is off you can just interrupt longbow f1 and dodge the melee f1 and he will have no condition cleanse at all.
dd ele has so many condition cleanse…it’s probably one of the best against condition team, except necro.

condi heavy champs are cele ele weakness by far.
Is there any counter to condi heavy teams? Seems the be the only thing i’m loosing to lately. Engi’s and ele’s can put on so many condi’s at ridiculous rate, no class could ever keep up with clearing. Thoughts comments?
Diamond Skin Ele and Shout warrior.
Nice post J
Ivy.
Burst them down before they condi you down.

You making it difficult to advise you when you do not mention what profession you play or what build you run.

The point is to consider how to beat these builds in a 5v5 view, not in a 1v1 countering way… The point is that, except if you’re having a similar team setup, it’s too hard to win the match, considering 1 mistake leads you to a lose, while it doesn’t look like it takes a lot of effort from the opponent…
Everyone had those matchs on legacy of foefire with thieves and necros against guard engi and eles..

As far as classes go i’m pretty flexible, I really wanted to know what kind of team counters a condi heavy team. In team fights condi heavy teams always seem to have the advantage. So far it sounds like a full dps team counters a heavy condi team.

Rabid engi is countered by necro. Cele engi can deal with Rabid Engi, a good medi guard (although double Ele can counter mGuard unless played with a Necro) etc
In teams fights warriors can be useful versus these comps just for the blunt impact of them, as they can provide counter pressure despite the considerable pressure of a condi team (which their team relies on) – but it needs to be hambow and needs to focus on supporting team fights.
I’m afraid if your complaint about condi is Ele related then its not a straightforward answer. Cele Ele is meta for a reason.
Staff Ele obviously has very high AoE cleansing and will make them take longer to burn through your cleanses, however from my experience simply running really high condi removal comps (as in a support team) isn’t always the best option (they will have enough pressure to still burn though your cooldowns).
IMO best bet are builds with high counter pressure and CC, like Hambow, D/D (or D/F!) ele, Thief (again this will affect the comp however is especially useful if their comp has a necro) and a Condi Necro can work but you need to rotate around it…
And a staff ele bunking side nodes would give them a headache too.
Oh and if you run a bunker guard they will just focus down the guard if they really are a pure condi team.

Bring 5 cele d/d eles, facerolling through all attunements in the same manner
I don’t think there are condi comps considerable as any meta to keep up with those shared cleanses and healing unless you pull one ele out and focus heavily.
As a bonus, they will also do heavy sustained damage and won’t die easily. Not many weaknesses.

For me, the most difficult condi teams of late are two necros, cele ele and >insert warrior, ranger, thief, engi<
Where the two necro’s will concentration on fears, or engi and warriors with the cc…it makes it incredibly hard to apply any type of pressure. Oddly enough, heavily condi + cc teams lack condition cleanses themselves (a thought)
Med guard with Absolute Resolution.
Cele ele for the overall sustain and 1 condi removal with cleansing wave trait.
Ranger with signet of renewal, if necessary
Mesmers Null field and/or Phantasmal Disenchantment
Bunk shout guards are one of the best, if not thee best, at team condition cleanses. But it really depends on who you’re running with, what their trait lines are, etc.

Medi guard counters them heavy bunker type. Hambow warrior stunlock. Turret engi
Those engies that throw a bunch of nades, still pretty mean. It’s like everything about an engy is mean. Everything on engies needs to be toned down.
They kinda like ele’s back in the days.

How does a medi guard remove poison from doom sigil? gl with that on your medi guard when your condition remove won’t even come close to keeping up.

Bring one shout heal warrior with trooper runes and a warhorn. If you still have issues with condies after that, then unfortunately for you, there aint much you can do.
People think diamond skin ele is stronh against conditions, however they are way too easy to get below 90%.
Only build i know, that is a threat even when solo, that litterally make conditions useless is survival bleedstack ranger with empathic bond and survival of the fittest.
Ironically it is one of the builds that can apply lethal amounts of conditions faster then anyone can cleanse them (even if looking over time)
This is the ranger build i use atm.

Edit
Realized i posted my wvw build. PvP build is, depending on enemy having heavy hitters or pure condi, cele amulet for pure condi, rabid for heavy hitters. If mix of burst and condi, rabid with blood sigil on SB
