Seriously, why is crit crafting in SPvP so difficult?

I’ve only ever made the effort to craft about 6 items, all of which have taken me many attempts.
I recently spent most of my glory on leveling alts and I have very little left now, I need Orrian gloves to complete my set and I’ve tried 17 attempts and nothing.

What’s the rate on crit crafting? I heard it’s 30% but I really doubt that at 17 fails.

They have said in the pvp roadmap that they are removing pvp crafting. Keep in mind if it’s a 30% rate it’s 30% every time, it doesn’t get more likely the more you do it.

I hope removing pvp crafting doesnt mean people have to PVE to get PVP gear in future. Infinte Light for example costs 825g in PVE, but easier to get in PvP. I think its a horrible idea to unify PVE and PVP gear anyway.

Both will have unique and common gear. Devs have been hinting at spending our glory to fill out lockers precisely because things like infinite light are going to pve, but they want to avoid a huge outcry that we can get them now so easily (the outcry is inevitable, b/c elitist pve’ers are so vocal).

It also means that, in all likelihood, we will start seeing level restrictions on our pvp gear. This may even mean that you will not be able to equip gear in the heart of the mists unless your character is high enough level to use it in pve. (On this point I’m sure they are still in discussion phase). The idea is to unify the two so they stop feeling like separate games

I’m confused, you can craft a PvP version of Infinite Light, or you can craft a PvE version with PvP materials?

Yeah I understand that, but 17 crafts with no crit. I should at the very least have received 1 crit.

You craft a pvp version called “runic blade” that will, in some indefinite amount of time become pve gear along with all other gear you have in the hom. It looks identical to infinite light, and the only reason infinite light is so sought after is for its looks, so it is irrelephant whether or not runic blades become “legit” infinite lights when the gear merge happens

How does one go about crafting the Runic Blade?

Phoenix token/arcane crystal/sword token/5x dust into the pvp mystic forge.

Bare in mind that this is also a critical craft recipe and you will likely go through a few frozen swords to get there. Get the phoenix tokens from salvaging tier 2 cultural armour

If you are totally tired of crafting for orrian gloves, you can also buy these from the same Kodan who sells cultural armour

Is it possible to craft Mjolnir or Volcanus for pvp or do I need to wait until we can use PVE stuff in pvp?
