They still remain stealthed when their attack gets blocked though.
Is it intended, or can we look for some change for this in the future?

Thieves can still Steal while casting other abilities, which was a bigger issue (imo).
Every class can do this.
If you have an instant cast teleport ability of any kind, you can use it in the middle of any other channeled ability or cast.

Hello!
We’ve recently reduced the culling of players in structured and tournament PvP to basically nothing. What this means is that players will no longer be able to attack from stealth without being reported immediately. Keep in mind that there will still be the ‘fade-in’ time, but players will be able to acquire a target much faster and have a much better window for reacting to attacks.

Woooooo!

Yes….but other classes can’t do 15k damage in 1-2seconds, nor can they tp directly to a target while channeling other skills and also dealing considerable damage with the no animation leap.
They need a cool down for all invs skills, and stealing as with any other tp skills needs to have a visual effect so other players are able to use dodge skill.
Something like this is already in place. It is called revealed. If you attack from stealth you cannot re-stealth again for 3 seconds.

Cheers to anet for this fix (assuming it works, havent played yet). And PS thanks for 5v5 hotjoin woooo!
It works. Not perfectly, but works.
First, you can target enemy, then you see them, and then their nameplate.
Still needs a bit of work, but it’s much better than 1-2s of extra stealth.
