Daily class is bullkitten
While I agree it’s not the best thing to have as a daily, I don’t mind it so much since most people seem to stick with unranked to do these. I would far prefer just having captures/kills/top type things for the achievements.

Ugh this is not how you offer advice, maybe if you weren’t so caught up in the bad parts of it you could see the good things in it. I think its a great idea, allowing people to gain knowledge of other classes and earning small rewards at the same time. It’s not like the players have to do ranked… that’s there choice and I don’t know why they would queue up in ranked with something they aren’t used to playing. You can do these dailies in Unranked which is a perfect testing ground for new classes. You can’t really blame ANET for the players mistakes, although I know how easy it is to just blame ANET for everything.
I just think it’s a lame daily to begin with. I thought dailies were supposed to happen naturally. There’s nothing natural about creating an entire new character and crafting a build for it just to accomplish a daily. I already play four classes decently. Isn’t that enough for a measly daily?

dailies happening naturally was an undesired side effect of a push to help players not feel forced into doing certain things to acquire laurels. laurels are no longer tied to the completion of dailies, so anet has reverted the cheevo point acquisition to making you go out of your way, and added more carrots. i think i dont like it. but it seems to fit the original intent of the daily system much better than the iteration we just left.
its too bad the pvp dailies are intrusive enough to completely dominate matchmaking, its a pretty cute way to get people to try out new things.

They can change them with “Win in the Legacy of Foefire Battleground” for example, it’s less restrictive for beginners who dont have all professions and don’t cause any problems
I’m not keen on achievements, even the dailys, that can depend on other folks. But hey, they do give us a spread of ’em to pick from.

If ANet wants to get players out of their “Comfort zone” then they can simply make the win only applicable to Hotjoin only. It is there for practice, and new players can practice on how to play these professions.

The class ones need to go and it needs to be done sooner than later. It’s not fair for people to have to carry two or three mesmers or thieves through games or lose games that way.
