Damage immunity and orb of ascention

I do agree. On my Guardian I always use Protector’s Strike, Shield of Wrath, Renewed Focus and Shelter to manage to get from point A to B but also there is another thing that bothers me… Some matches I have played there have been classes with passive speed bonuses and it seems they work while they carry the orb.

Ye, that’s why I agreed with OP as my Guardian can almost block her whole way from point A to B and characters with passive speedboost can sprint the whole way before someone can react. So why is only teleportations affected by this? My opinion is that passive speedboost wont work when carrying the orb and Block skills will result in dropping the orb, also skills that makes you sprint and jump forward in highspeed wll make you drop the orb. I know that it may be too much, you will barely be able to fight with the orb then… But hey, in my opinion the orb carrier is not meant to fight good while carryieng the orb.

Frankly the orb should grey out your entire skill bar and be replaced with a single 1 skill (put down orb). So all you can do is move, jump, and dodge with the orb…that’s it. You want to fight back? You have to put the orb down manually.
Also all traits stop functioning while you have the orb. No auto healing, no cleansing/damaging/etc while dodge rolling, no speed boosts, etc…etc…
Yes…you are holding an orb, you should be horribly kitten while in a battlefield and lugging something around. Your TEAM should be required to protect you/heal you.
Uh, because thieves would insta end the match….? Portal with mesmer? Why even fight on spirit watch? Turn it into a race mode and create a linear track with obstacles and shielded spawn points. Make it like CTF, but keep the objective in the center.
