Damage mitigation
I think the former should be kept to a minimum, or at least have more counterplay options.

Some professions need a full on invulnerability, but some don’t. Shield of Courage is a good example of a strong skill with multiple ways to be countered.

I would like to know what you people think about skills that negate damage while still letting you do damage to other player (Endure Pain, Obsidian Flesh, Signet of Stone, Shield of Courage, Shock Shield, Distortion, Unrelenting Assault, Field of the Mists and other that I dont remember right now) and skills that on the one hand negate damage and on the other hand make you unable somehow to deal damage (Shield Stance, Gear Shield, Crystal Hybernation).
I think the second ones are much more fair and promote tactical thinking unlike the first ones.
The second ones also have 1/2 or even 1/3 of the CD respect to the first, wanna really compare stone signet at 80s CD to gear shield 18s CD?….c’mon
^ Yeah. If the CD is short, you shouldn’t be able to attack
