If someone DCing meant you lost no pips, it would be abused and people would just DC if they are not winning to save their pip count.

That cannot be abused, because the game has not even started yet.
2.You can maybe make it so that if someone has a dc once the game has started and you are behind in points, that it is still considered a loss (because otherwise it can be abused),
3.but that if you are ahead in points and someone has a dc, that its not considered a loss.
The first and third are not likely to be abused right?

So to sum it up, basically nothing can be done to help a team where someone goes afk/has a dc?

To the best of my understanding, in the current game design. A player who disconnects during a match receives dishonor and a loss, the rest of their team receives a forfeit and no pip loss. If a player disconnects before a game starts they receive dishonor and a forfeit, and their team receives a forfeit.
This system cannot be abused by players intentionally disconnecting as they will receive a loss.

It may not be nice, but I feel like everyone is forgotten on these forums. Watch other forums, PVE/Dungeons etc. they comment and make posts all the time. It seems this never happens. Im not saying they need to offer solutions in there posts, but at least acknowledge our existence and our concerns. I have played MMO after MMO and this one has the least amount of player support than any. If I am the only one that feels that way maybe someone can enlighten me, but I am sure I am not.

I think it had more to do with the tone in which you wrote that other post at the start of the thread. To demanding and unfriendly (or not nice as you put it). That is probably what made it be disliked.

Written like this probably out of frustration, which is understandable (due to the mentioned lack in acknowledgement for community concerns), but its still not the way to go.

As it is about disconnects and Evan entered here to give feedback regarding that subject.
I dont think its right that if someone from Anet pops in a thread about a subject like disconnects, that replies regarding other subjects are thrown at them and especially not in the tone that you did it.
Otherwise they cant enter anywhere from time to time without people firing posts regarding other subjects at them.
