Although I doubt this will get a response, I am here to ask advice from a rep from Arenanet.

I have exclusively played S/D Elementalist through thick and thin the last 9 months or so. I the current state of tPvP, I have ran into a brick wall. In solo Q, I had some success initially. However, after a few losses to double bunker teams vs. no bunker, 4v5’s and some disparity in experience on my team vs. the other, I have dropped to around 30% on the leaderboards. This is a HUGE hole to climb out of for anyone, but seems to be nearly impossible for an Elementalist.

In team PvP, there is about a 1% chance to find a decent team to take an Elementalist, which is usually after they ask every ranger, necro, thief, and engineer on their contacts list and in the Mists.

My question for Anet is what should I do?

1. Roll a different profession.
2. Instead of trying to climb UP the leaderboards, instead see if it’s possible to grab the BOTTOM of the board. Who knows, maybe games are fun at 1%.
3. Stick exclusively to Hotjoins, where I obviously belong on an Elementalist.
4. Something else that I must be missing.

Though, about as likely as it is to win in a lottery and then buy your way there. How about you just roll a spirit ranger like everyone else?

@Reroll….um…prove it. If you can go 0% to top 1000 as ele only I honestly would quit MMORPGs altogether lol.

Actually I can prove it. Because of a random bug my leaderboard was dropped to 0% check this link https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/NOT-FIXED-Leaderboard-position-crazy-bug/first#post2691720

the picture in that post clearly shows I was 0% 3 days ago.

I’ve been playing a bit and after 25 wins 9 loses I’m currently ranked 83%. I expect to be top 1000 later this afternoon and I’ll update this

ps. I’ve been playing ele since BWE, it’s incredibly weak atm but if you know it well you can make it to the top 300, 400.

However, if someone can make it to the top 150 soloq with an ele then he deserves my respect

Ele is just like all the other kitten in this game. One really lame and powerful aoe combo which pretty much can’t be dodged. No brain class like all the rest of them. Just hidden at the moment due to the BS spam from other classes.
