The challenge in diamond league is to get a match especially when you solo queue. I spend more time for queue-ing than playing.
This is so outrageous. Created 6 divisions without enough player at the upper division. Probably just delete 1 division or correct the matchmaking algorithm. Some ruby player are good, I don’t mind playing with them(if they are around my mmr). There is already mmr constraint, you can probably just adjust the division constraint.
Ruby was a lot of fun for me. 7-8 minutes queue with many skillful players aka close matches. Diamond takes 15m+ or sickening 1hour+ queue to get a game. And most of the time you get pug vs premade.

how do you propose they fix it?
the better idea would be for you to help other players get there and it fixes itself instead of using them a target fodder.

But if they need a carry then do they really belong in diamond or above?

Many good players dont always have the best of luck in groupings and lag behind.
go find players you think are good and help them get there, not help the clueless get their shinies.
The long queue times at the high leagues are a player made problem.
What you don’t realize is that the people who got there early had no one to play against, thus had super long queue times and started exploiting the system by teaming up with amber ranks to go up against the lower tiers. In essence, they removed themselves from diamond/legendary queue
Because the diamond/legendary tier players are all teaming up (exploiting) with amber/emerald rank players, they’re not eligible to play against each other in true diamond vs diamond rank matches. There is no one in high league queue because people are putting themselves into low-noob league queue through exploits The only people to blame for the long queue times at diamond/legendary rank are the players who are exploiting the system to go into a low-tier queue, shrinking the eligible matchups @ the diamond and legendary level.
60 games in the last week and a half and I’ve still not seen a diamond player in any matches as Amber and Emereld. Seen a couple of Ruby players, never a Diamond. Not a big sample pool though.

You know something’s wrong when you’re a sapphire and certain teams of emeralds can give you much more trouble than a team with four rubies and a sapphire so I can see where that’d be good.
Easy fix; Everyone queue solo in ranked. Not only would this tend to concentrate similar skilled players, it would eliminate some of the unworthy faux diamond players.
