It’s nice there is a new mode..but that courtyard ?? Really? It’s so small and all I’ve seen is a zergfest in the middle. It must have taken them all of an afternoon to design. They removed the water map for this? Lazy design imo…When I think of the variety GW1 pvp had , I could cry…

Perhaps you should try playing with a ~3 player teamsize! It’s all I do in that map, and I’m literally having my best time in GW2 doing it! =D

I think Water combat (if that’s what you’re pointing at) would be a bad feature on that map.

Well no not water on that Map..but they removed the beach/water map..i forget the name..god knows why they did that.. I see no real reason for it

They removed Raid on the Capricorn because not having underwater combat in PvP would make it more friendly towards new players, and it wasn’t very engaging (and probably not balanced) anyway

It was like ONE cap in a map of 3..and the only uw thing in pvp…it was utterly pointless to remove it.. I see NO reason for it whatsoever..especially as underwater combat still remains in w v w

i think it’d be fun if they just turned off the nodes on all of the other maps and allowed us to deathmatch there too, i do love courtyard but it does feel rather cramped.
i’ve been rocking longbow ranger since the patch and its difficult to effectively use longbow in courtyard since your damage is based on being far away.

one cap (little part of overall task) doubles the resources devs have to put in balancing and skills players have to learn. most ppl were just blind spamming skills down there. i always hated if i had to dive in.

They removed it because if they had let it in they would have had to put underwater weapons in the UI, which would have taken ressources and time. Also UW combat is anything but balanced and that is plain to see. WvW is not balanced, it is based on PvE gear. They have not attempted to balance it even once because it is not supposed to be. Gosh you’re clueless.
