If its not enough to fix it, no doubt arenanet will just roll out more blanket nerfs that are broadly targeted at all gamemodes.

Will be so much fun to see all those crybabies after the feature patch when they realise that AR wont fix the the decap issue. Every player who knows a thing or two about this game know this. But still ANet listened to them.
And you will see even more decap engis after the patch cause every other build running this trait (some bunker builds) getting hit more than the decapper. Thats Anet logic for the engineer profession. No plan at all. And thats why i assume engineers will be hit hard even more by the nerf hammer in future patches.

Still too strong? Compared to what? Without AR they aren’t any worse than other bunkers.

And I wish the engis using AR would stop crying about the nerf. It was clearly a cheese trait and bad for the game. Yes engis need more condi removal but AR was a skill-less crutch.

I guess you should go and l2p rather than complaining on the forums in this case. How do you even know it won’t fix it? The patch isn’t out yet right? This may actually sounds rude but i’m so tired of ppl like you and this style guy who obv doesn’t know anything about this issue or engineers in general.

You try to nerf engineer even if it’s not necessary. Once again: Engineers are in a rather tough spot in the current meta and there’s NO NEED to nerf anything.

I understand the broken part of decap engis. It’s the combination of knockbacks (the ability to decap a point) and the invincibility in 1vs1. Basically you have to nerf one of this aspects to fix the issue. They nerfed the durability (AR) to prevent nerfs to other engineer builds (which already are in a bad spot).

Without AR it’s 100% possible to kill a decap engi 1vs1 (actually quite fast due to the lack of condi remove). And in this case it’s totally fine.

I also love the elaboration of your arguments tho.

An Engineer with huge access to knockbacks, launches and immobilise – they can build to be pretty reasonable bunkers and then cap points while bunkering due to their incredible amounts of CC.
Automated Response (AR) is a grandmaster-level trait that currently stops new conditions from being applied to the Engi while they’re under 25% health – this means that condition users can’t take advantage of the Engi’s lack of condi-cleansing options.

Hopefully with AR changes we’ll at least see some people moving away from this terribly broken build type, since most players running condition-heavy builds (especially Necromancers) will be able to take them out easily.

What might happen is Condi-Bunker will hold close from now on so the beat the De-cappers. Ranger/Warrior on close with Condi Specs (Hight Stability builds)

i play decap engineer now and then for about a year now and i have only used ar after everyone said it was totally op to test that. to be honest, i dropped that trait pretty fast, since there are many other options not only to survive but also deal enough damage to get the kill at far.

You have several issues with your post.
Decap engi is defined as an engineer who can consistently push ANY person off far and live 1v1 in-definitely. You won’t kill anyone unless they are brain-dead in which case you could do the same thing with any other build.

2nd fight any decent engi or necro and they will kill you easily 1v1 without AR. Rangers/warriors don’t quite have the condi application to finish you off even without AR. But any skilled condi warrior can get you if you mess up. AR is the correct nerf as it still allows the spec to exist but can be countered by skill., instead of afking 1v4 against condition builds.
