I was doing some off the wall thinking:

Why don’t more conditions do stat damage? I like the idea of current conditions but I think it’d be nice to have (more) conditions that don’t do damage.

Think Dungeons and Dragons: Con Dex Str etc.

I also think it would be great if conditions of the direct damage type had some dependency on stat damaging conditions as well. If not dependency then added utility/benefit. Something…to reign in the current ability of conditions.

Don’t get it twisted unlike most this ex mesmer kept cleanses…even while playing condition builds.

Crowd Control:
I think every player should have a defiance bar.

Why?

Too Much Crowd Control. I like the idea of technical play.
However hard crowd control should be limited from multiple incoming sources.
I haven’t thought much of soft stuff…It should be fine.

I mean…if pve boss monsters have defiance bars…for the obvious reason that they would simply NOT work otherwise from the insane amounts of CC why is it that in a 5 v 5 man team where you are more than likely going to get 2+v1’d does this not apply?

Obviously they shouldn’t be as durable (for the sake of time) but would make play in my opinion more…meaningful concerning CC. No you would not get a free stun but if cc is landed whilst the bar is depleted cc is possible. First foe to land cc remains the only opponent who can apply cc again whilst the bar is depleted.

Meaning if a…mesmer and an engineer are both attacking and your defiance bar is depleted…and the mesmer lands cc first before the engineer then while your bar is depleted that mesmer is the only foe who can continue to try and cc you while the bar is depleted.

There are some drawbacks…I don’t know if anyone runs interrupts?
I mean…to me I’d wager most just hammer cc in the hopes there of versus actually looking for the opportunity.

I don’t think any player should be constantly immune to crowd control but I am not against requiring more effort to cc some over others. Get’s rid of stability..well…maybe you could use stability as a sort of buff to slow the depletion of defiance bars or something.
I would give no classes a direct trait affecting the bar. They would be different per class.
I would instead regulate stability access.

I don’t know just thoughts.

The true meaning of cc is to interrupt a specific skill or hinder a player from reaching a point or just to burst them down before they can heal and more. Cc should not be meant to be just spammed with no goal as it is now. I see your suggestion and I do like it if the amount of cc continues but I would rather that they leave the mechanic as it is and tone down the amount of cc that we have in the game at the moment.

Horrible idea, everyone of those cc has a cd. So this is pretty much a horrible idea, it would totally kill condi heavy builds, etc…

And Op if you are having trouble against condi consider taking 2 condicleansing utility skills instead of 1.

And you also want to get rid of stability?? OMG. .. L2p. Issue. And forcing people to.play with defiance bar isn’t competitive at all. No game does this. It’s like giving a death shroud to everyone else. Way to worsen the state of the gane.

1. Condi heavy builds are fine…

2. I don’t have trouble with condi builds.

3. I’m not going to try and reason with you. I take it (guessing) you don’t use stability. I get stability per shatter…try to guess what my build is. (that’s not a question)

You clearly don’t see the same thing I see…nor do you look like you care to have a look so please don’t bother replying again.
