Though I appreciate the feedback, I’m looking for a bit more depth here. I want to rate professions based on roles. I understand what you are saying, but it isn’t going to allow for a proper analysis. Thank you.
Something along the lines of:
Mid Point Bunker:
Ability to stay on point vs multiple opponents:
Group/self stability
Aoe cleanse/self cleanse
Damage mitigation-block/invulnerability, high health pool, or protection
Mobility:
Low priority
Something like that would help.

Mid bunker: this is the most pointless or badly played role in this game. You should only “bunker” a point if it is actively being contested / fought over. Therefore I like to call it “support”.
Fulfilling this role you need to be tanky and have a fair share of self damage mitigation to hold your ground vs multiple opponents and provide group utilities such as boons, revive, cc. Regeneration is strong for this role.
Classes:
1. Guardian – multiple builds are viable.
2. Warrior – again, multiple builds are viable although none as supportive as a guardian.
3. Engineer – AoE heals and condi removal is featured much like the previous 2 classes.
Roamer: the purpose of a roamer is to have high mobility to do the following:
Help out fights by outnumbering, provide quick burst, decap or fullcap open nodes to divert enemy attention. Possibly counter enemy roamer and win 1v1s.
Classes:
1. Thief – any zerk, s/d, d/p or s/p spec.
2. Mesmer – having a portal can be essential in some fights.
3. Guardian or elementalist – most people probably expected warriors to be on this list but I consider them less effective than dps guard or dps ele.
Condition: role of this class is to win the attrition war by applying constant pressure to the enemy while also being bunker. All classes have condition specs but some are obviously non-viable.
Classes:
1. Necromancer – this is fairly obvious. Necros can spam conditions quite effectively. 100% poison, bleed, chill and weakness uptime can be achieved by a necro which is really strong.
2. Engineer – this class can apply the 1 condition that necros don’t carry by default – confusion. This makes a necro + engi couple pretty strong.
3. Warrior – whereas condition warriors carry way less conditions than the above 2 classes but they can apply bleeds rapidly and are more tanky.
Decap: I guess this is supposed to be the chessy knockdown build collection. Role is easy: run far, spam cc and get the point.
Classes:
1. Engineer – very tough to deal with and has incredible cc.
2. Guardian – shield and hammer used to be popular especially in NA.
3. Elementalist – this may sound funny but ele decap build is pretty cool and you can make some nice plays with lightning hammer and tornado.
Duelist: the role of this class is to win all 1v1’s to help the team by making the game 4v5. These normally play on sidenodes and join team fights if necessary.
Classes:
1. Warrior – especially axe+sword – longbow.
2. Ranger – with them spirits applying passive conditions actively.
3. Mesmer – PU spec is virtually unbeatable 1v1 if played correctly.
The cheese: these classes can fill multiple roles at once amd therefore can be found in all top teams.
Classes:
1. Warrior – hambow. Teams sometimes have more than one.
2. Ranger – very passive, great survivability and team support as well as single target condi pressure.
3. Thief – great roamer, good at 1v1’s and has group tools such as shadow refuge, shadowstep stomp, spammable blast finisher and smokefield.
This is all my opinion so don’t take it for granted but it’s how I see it.
