Hi to the Guild Wars 2 Community!

I don’t normally voice out a rant of unfairness but this was recently a load of bullocks when bad things happen to good people. I was playing a fair game of Ranked PvP. I have to hand it in the for the opponents that they were really good. Our team had 250 point lead (the Map was in Legacy of the Foefire). Then all of a sudden, I crashed. I had recently reported this crash in the previous months and was told to do a series of reports for the developers to fix it. After a certain amount of time, I was told that this was a resolution issue integrated with the Guild Wars 2 application. (See attachment for the sample of what crash I’m talking about).

Back to the PvP match, I quickly relogged back in and it was now 356 to around 250 points. We were in the lead but the enemy team had triple cap. My teammates were at the enemy lord, rushing it down to a pulp. When I logged back in the game, an enemy team member was on his merry way to our lord as well. I did my best holding him/her back and it was long enough for our team to handle the enemy lord and get the win…

When we won, we lost 1 pip (each of us) then I did as well. When I got back to the PvP Lobby, I also got a desertion status and a 15-minute time-out. Now, in my books, if I hadn’t have interrupted the enemy opponent into killing our lord, then we would have lost. Knowing that the crash had been reported before and still occurs now, is also disheartening and that I was punished for a something I had reported a long time ago. It is sad to know that this kind of unfairness happened not only to me; but also to my teammates (surprisingly friendly PUGs).

It would have been okay if I had lost the pip alone; but they did not deserve to have suffered for a significant contribution to the win.

Please, rethink the way you do “Desertion” and PIPs, ANet…
