Ty anet for having such a broken game. Im so glad wasting 15 mins of my life. I won a match, got 1500 reward + reward from chests oh but here the twist comes. It says i deserted the game when i didnt, so i didnt get +1 pip in the division and a dishonor. Ty so much anet, rly rly ty so much for wasting my time.

Yeah, I have the same issue as well. I have a match where my team won the game and I was there from the beginning till the end with no disconnects happening at all. I only left the game after the results were out and the scoreboard showed up but yet I got a desertion and was hit with dishonor while not gaining any pips to my league progression. And a team mate also whispered me asking about it as he was plagued with the same problem so it doesn’t seem to be an isolated case.

Here’s a photo of it. Can any devs look into this please?

same here… won a game and waited for the reward chests, then clicked “leave the game 1:00 min” and i was marked as deserter. Game did not count, no progression rewarded.

If you are going to do an ingame league system do it right please, otherwise people wont care anymore (oldschool WvW player here).

edit: i got the exp for the overall rank, but did not get any league specific progression

Forfeit is because someone on your team deserted and you lost. This is to separate it from a full defeat.

Don’t really remember anyone deserting during the match, but the fact could have been missed during the heat of the battle. In anyway, thank you for the reply, much appreciated.

Yea the difference with me and some of the others tho, is that i actually got reward chest + 1500 win points and i left after we had 500 points (the way it always have been) yet the game decided to turn me into a deserter and i didnt get my +1 pip and i worked so hard for it Q.Q

Yah, I got credit for a win as a necromancer in that match. Even got the 1.5k rank points as well as the reward chest. Just no progress with the league system and got hit with desertion/dishonor.

This is what happened to most (including me) reporting in this forum about this “bug”… you get the chests, exp for your overall pvp rank and leave the match instead of waiting to be kicked out by the system.

Yet you are marked as deserter/dishonorable and do not get league progression.

Hi Evan, could you look into the bug that makes a full 5 man premade team plays against a full pug team? Thanks man!

Also, is a bug that i got dcd and every time i try to log in the match kick me out… I never passed after the loading screen for the match, and my guildie who queue with me get hit also by desertion that I was never able to prevent due to the dcd the game kick me in the face… (not including they got an epic win that lost value due to my dcd in eternal limbo =S)

-_-; now all my freaking characters are dcding me and showing me i’m still in party…

The desertion should be for the player not the whole team, now to top on account bugged from the match. I feel bad the team didn’t got credit.

5 minutes later update: By the way, my guildie need it to logout to finally let my character login and move away.

i would never get the point to make so much stuffs for pvp history, it’s outstanding but i don’t care if there is anyone in my team or the other team got a disconnect …..seriously, gw2 efficiency is good and clearly enough. (-_?)

I had a disconnect one game but I didn’t get loaded back into the map, just hotm. The game was almost over but not finished when I tried to get back in. We won. Didn’t get deserter and didn’t get my pip.

I had two victories credited as Byes in my log. We guessed that it might intend to record dc’s, but that no one from the other team disconnected at any point during either game. Sounds like I was on the other side of this bug. Something seems to be turning up a false positive on connection drop.

Incidentally (and this may not be the place), what’s the point of Forfeit/Bye? Does such a result count differently from a regular Victory/Defeat? Has dishonor been reworked? In other words: What’s to prevent someone from dropping out during a loss and saving everyone else the hit to their ranks? I mean, it’d be great if there were an asterisk next to the dozens of 4v5’s and 3v5’s showing up as games not won on my record, but that would serve only personal satisfaction. How does this system work?

What about getting d/c and reconnecting back? Why isn’t there a grace period to reconnect for genuine problems like client/computer crashing (on a side note it’s been reported that the ESL software used during the Pro League causes the game to crash sometimes) or thunderstorms affecting power etc?

According to the wiki http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dishonorable and I qoute “Disconnecting, relogging, or changing characters during a match does not grant dishonorable, with some exceptions
Being kicked by AFK detection automatically
Being absent from a match when the match has ended”

I had a d/c, reconnected and finished the match but still got hit with dishonor. Is the dishonor system actually working correctly?

Does the game make any distinction between a disconnect and a rage quitter? Because I just got a “bye” in a match that my team would’ve won 5v5 except one guy on the other team clearly went and rage quit on them.

I’m not sure if this is related: I just won a match on Temple, but I didn’t earn a pip, and the match is also not showing up on my list of recent matches. Not quite sure what is going on here, so I wanted to ask about this and bring it to your attention. It was a competitive match against a good team, and I’d like to get credit for the win.

This would’ve been my 8th win in a row (and I think my 11th in a row on this toon), could that have anything to do with it?
