Destroying enemy team gives one pip?
you earn 1 pip for a win
you lose 1 pip for a loss
you earn 1 extra pip on your 3rd consecutive wins and onwards
that’s all.
The pip gods giveth, the pip gods taketh away.
“Destroying enemy team” usually means “enemy team was so weak that we won by rolling our face on keyboard with closed eyes”. That’s clearly not something worth 2 pips.

- destroying a “team” means the enemy team is in party.
- “destroying” a team in saphire isn’t a big deal
- destroying a team doesn’t mean win 500-1xx
When you make a post saying you “trash” someone lesle, you have to blur their names.
And that worth 1 pip
Fix your grammar, there’s no guidelines stating that you need to blur names, finish lists you make, why state the obvious? And what is the “eSports” way of saying I destroyed the enemy? Want me to go to the FGC handbook?
I have been on teams that have been destroyed, and I’ve been on teams that have destroyed the other team. There is no pride to be taken in destroying the opposing team, it just means that the players assigned to be on your team are of a much higher level of skill and experience than the players assigned to the other team, which is the average set-up for this season. It doesn’t mean you’re all that great overall, for all you know you could be dead in the middle of all the total players, and the team you were facing was in the bottom 10% or something.

True, there is no exact way of saying where I fall into this spectrum, my only issue is that knowing that points in game doesn’t determine how many pips I deserve and that I’d like to find a source as to what does and doesn’t contribute to gaining them. I can’t say I’ve read into threads where people have said they haven’t received a pip for winning but I know I’ve seen bits of them, which is what got me curious in the first place.

They said it numerous times already. It is not difficult:
Win a game: ONE point
Lose a game: minus ONE point.
Win a game after having just won two (or more) previous games: One bonus point
Win a game after having just lost two (or more) previous games: One bonus point.
That’s it. If you mostly just win/lose/win/lose, you’ll only ever win one point per match. If you get into long streaks then you might get an extra one. It has absolutely nothing to do with how large a victory it was, or of the relative strengths of the two teams. If a pro league team fights the very bottom ranked team, and they don’t have any streaks going, then it doesn’t matter who wins or by how many points, they’re getting one point regardless.

Exactly! Why should you be glorified and rewarded to solve a math problem asking what is the answer to 2 + 2? That apparently was the level of difficulty your team had to face. Just be glad it was an easy pip.
