I think engineer is actually pretty balanced. Apart from those issues all classes have like no build diversity or elite specialications much strong then core specialisations.

Agreed, I made a post suggesting buffs to un-used Engi/Scrapper things in a previous patch before Druid/Chrono/Mercenary Amulet was nerfed, and they’re just chirping me

Counter to scrapper is easy.

Just get 10 guys to stand in a line next to a waypoint and rejoin the line after they die. Eventually the scrapper will get bored or tired and log off.
