Guild Wars 2

Is it possible to add these two key binds into the game? There are currently poor alternatives to this that don’t fully accomplish what these Keybindsis should do.

Current “Detarget”: closest thing we have is “auto lock target” which when tapped kinda acts as a Detarget, since that’s not its primary function it it doesn’t always work properly.
I know you can click off screen however you can end up clicking on another target.

Current “Cancel Animation” : Stow weapon, doesn’t cancel all animations and doesn’t function well with kits, conjured weapons, basically any bundles.
The only button that currently does that is esc, but if you double tap escape the menu comes up.

I know I’m not the only one who has requested these features, is there any particular reason they haven’t been implanted?

TLDR: Need 2 new Keybinds, current ones that do similar function aren’t good enuff

I REALLY want a drop target keybind. It’s suck a common combat necessity and requires one of two janky means of doing it.

“Lock Auto Target” does NOT detarget at all…

Orly? I use it all the time just for that function, it works just fine. If it doesn’t work for you, you’re not doing it right, simple as that. It works every single time for me, and others.

I have it bound to my ALT key. I just tap the ALT key and voila – target dropped, instantly. Do NOT keep the key pressed.

It doesn’t function perfectly, it drops target but there is a potential delay when a target is directly in front of you. Because it’s a hold to lock on a target button.
Edit: Depends on camera positioning in respect to where the target is.

ESC also un-targets. Though it’s not rebindable I think

Possibly. I’ve never had any issues with this though, it just works. I don’t know what things ppl do to mess this up tbh.
