Can the Dev’s please just clearly answer the following questions in the most simple fashion with no strange innuendo or undertones that hint at something else:
Should everybody blow all their Glory savings at the vendors before March 18th?
What happens to any left over Glory?
What do people do with the multiple stacks of PvP Glory Boosters they can’t possibly use up before March 18th?
That’s the main concerns of the hundreds of people I know, we can endure change but nobody likes to be screwed over basically because they mistimed something or had to make choices based on speculation.
EDIT: if the answer really was as simple as “glory is gone” than upset people are upset me included.
@Dekar, I believe they already posted in their FAQ that when it comes to Glory Boosters, you’re going to have to delete any leftover ones. And they’ve been saying for months now to blow your glory savings before “glory is phased out,” which I believe is also the wording used for the upcoming patch.
The one thing they haven’t answered to my recollection is what happens to any leftover glory, but that can be solved by just blowing all your glory right now instead of waiting until after the patch.

Yes, they have been saying for months that glory would be taken away as currency.
What happens to any left over Glory?
It will get removed

They can delete any stacks that were not used. Again, they said several months ago that Glory will be removed. People had plenty of warning to use glory boosts. Glory Boosters that were purchased with gems, are eligible for a refund, you should submit a ticket.

There was no speculation, the announcement of glory removal came directly from the devs several months ago, they added the glory vendor and recommended people to spend all their glory. This was almost 3 months ago.
EDIT: if the answer really was as simple as “glory is gone” than upset people are upset me included.
Again you had plenty of time.
What has been going on server wise lately?
Many many players are dealing with latency issues, crashes, unresponsive UI, and many more difficulties that take away the pleasure this game has to offer.
54 infractions and counting because a moderator doesn’t understand a joke when he/she sees it.
E.A.D.
As much as A-Net been telling players to use up their glory boosters, I can tell you that 99% of the players just simply do not play sPvP enough to use up their boosters. I’ve been getting em on a daily basis after you removed tickets and still got 500 left over. No I do not have enough time or want to spend all day sPvP only, but I’m definitely disliking your approach to “tough love” on how you are going to deal with it (being they’re going to be worthless+unexchangeable".
Maybe if you stopped giving em out along with achievement chests, BL chests I wouldn’t have so many.

Well said. Hopefully ANET changes course and does the right thing here.
We definitely want to do more scrimmages. In fact, I’ll be opening a thread about this in the next week or so. For our next Ready up (after this one) we want to do an All-Star scrimmage.

Again you had plenty of time.
This sir is what you call…100% missing the point. The removal of glory is obviously known what the questions were in relation is to the -rumours- that they may be doing something else with it other than straight up removal as with boosters.
Please don’t get all fanboi re-quoting the obvious it’s just a disservice to everybody. As for “plenty of time” that’s just childish and not true, many people have more than 800 hours worth of glory time they’ve been trying to use since the announcement which is not really a viable time frame for most human beings.

Sorry to say this but that was a disappointing Ready Up episode for us spvpers. Spvp was only talked about for a few minutes and that was just to let us know that glory is to be no more and that we are going to get pve rewards… and we also know now not to expect our much anticipated spvp update until…. later. Then we watch the devs play EoTm for 45 min.
Starting to really feel like there isn’t anything major planned or in the works for spvp, and that whatever it is isn’t going to live up the the hype that it’s given. Throw us a bone! Many of us are losing hope…
The show isn’t only about sPvP, so I expect you will be disappointed occasionally when we feature other areas of the game that you are not interested in.
We try to announce a few days in advance what the plan is, so you will know ahead of time if it’s something you want to watch.
The next Ready Up will be on the 14th (Friday next week).

It’s not gone yet. Will be in the March 18th build, though. You still have a little under 2 weeks to use it up!
Oh, I guess I"ll just buy the t3 human light (even though I’ll never use it, it just looks so pretty!) set… And then have 20k left to spend on random things. Yay random things :P
Thanks for lettibg me know ;D

The problem is the players, all so worried about losing because they aren’t running the most broken skills, pistol whip is a prime example, the tool tip on the skill doesn’t say it evades but it is, this is a bug exploit and personally i think everyone whose exploiting this should realise they are the ones ruining the game, if there’s a bug report it and stop exploiting it. We wont make money playing this game so why is everyone so scared of losing? Try running classes that dont have perma evades god mode utilities and insane elites spirit of nature, obviously one of the biggest problems, and every ranger is forced to be brain dead well supposedly im just assumed theyre all to bad to run anything other that spirit ranger go prove me wrong.

Allie, can you confirm one thing. I thought ANET was removing the ability to get NEW glory, but that the glory vendor would still be around for awhile. Is that correct?

This link makes it pretty clear (3mins20+) that gaining glory is being removed but that you can still spend it afterwards. One of the devs is mistaken, probably the one pasting the link and talking in this thread.

So… everyone who runs any class’s meta build is exploiting the game. It’s not the player’s fault if they are pigeonholed into running specific builds due to the current state of pvp. I’m personally looking forward to a pvp update just to change the current meta so that we can run different builds while still being competitive. Hopefully it wont just be a new pigeonhole experience…

Yes, I’m assuming (hoping) that Allie is incorrect and they’re just removing the ability to gain glory on the 18th as they stated several times in the past. Has that changed?
What, if anything, they are replacing glory with at that time is another question that they have not answered time and again. I dearly hope they’re not planning on leaving sPVP with no (or reduced) rewards until some unspecified future patch which will add apparently amazing things.
To be honest, ArenaNets’ policy of telling us nothing except “we have great plans that you’re going to love!” doesn’t do much for me when they don’t share any details of those great plans .
