Make a 5v5 only Team Queue, disable class swapping, and only allow teams with no more than 1 of each class to queue. Class stacking solved, no harm to queue times.

There is no such thing balance in an MMO. You can get close. But there will always be that one class that is better.

Anet cant balance DH. Its not OP in high tier but stomps scrubs that cant play well. It puts them in a bind since ESL forces them to try to make all classes somewhat viable in pro settings.

There is no such thing balance in an MMO. You can get close. But there will always be that one class that is better.
That’s why you need to have constant balancing/tweaking to keep the game/meta changing. Otherwise the game becomes stagnant.
In gold tier there are tons of DH, but it seems to me the matches are won by well played bursty Warriors, bouncy thieves, well supported necros, and slippery druids or engies…
Oh, I forgot the rare portal slinging, birdie loving Mesmer.
The DH is a free win for the other team if your team is chosen and used in a placement match for a sub bronze beginner…

They can balance DH at all skill levels, they just refuse to. Reduce and remove passive procs on stuff, rework some skills to be more rewarding if you know how/when to use it instead of just randomly spamming it. You instantly lower their power in lower tiers and increase their potential in higher tiers of play if the player knows how to play the class

I will suggest just removing Marauder’s Amulet and making Spvp only changes to reduce trap damage. PoB can get shaved, ToF initial damage can be removed or lowered quite a bit, Fragments of Faith on passive trait and the skill itself could take a hit as well in damage, since that trap is mainly used for aegis/defenses. most fotm guards i’ve noticed don’t react well being dropped to 20% or less under two seconds on marauder’s amulet.

I think youre confused. Hunters determination is already a reduced version of the original in both cd and effect. I see no reason to nerf dulled senses since its like 2 stacks of vuln. So yeah there are your passives from the dh line. They already tried that avenue.

I am in plat, ty very much. My alt account is in gold. I never was in bronze.
Traps are not the problem, 90%ppl in pvp are bad players.
Let’s be honest, people here are not going to be satisfied until traps are as useful as Engi Turrets.

Not really seen a change in the game since they made warriors viable again. All in all I find the game quite balanced. Sure if the other player has more personal skill than you, they will win, if not you will win every time, unless they are using a cheese build and your half dead from a fight you’ve just won. Alone this D/D thief thought he was in a match earlier. Untill he got stunned and wasted in seconds proving that with out the cheese of spamming evade skills he was an unskilled player, relying on cheese to get him anyway.
It’s players like that who then get there butts kicked by players who have a clue that come crying to the forums more often than not. About things being OP or skills needing to be changed because they are unwilling to change the way they play and want ANet to change everything else.

I’m afraid to burst someones bubble but your are correct that DH traps are as useful upon wisely placement as Engineer turrets (speaking of utilities).
Between a master and apprentice, i would love to see the differences.

Not sure what bubble you are chilling in, but turrets are in no way anywhere near as effective as traps outside of healing turret. Not that traps are OP or anything, but turrets are a joke, which is what these people complaining here want traps to be.
Everything about DH was already said long time ago many many times over and over.
