So I’m playing a ranked sPVP match in Ruby (I JUST got Ruby.) We’re getting absolutely destroyed, can’t seem to capture any sides or middle. The match ends. Just now, I see that the enemy team has a Diamond player who is duo-queued with an Amber player….???? To lower mmr…?

Is Arena Net planning to add in a system to restrict players from queuing with other players from divisions that are distinctly far from each other?

I have seen other people asking about this, but I didn’t think this was a problem in most games until today. I’m pretty disappointed. :My very first match in Ruby and I’m greeted with bad sportsmanship from some of the higher players…

I don’t know if that was in my match, but I’m an Amber playing with a friend in diamond at the moment. It’s not to tank his mmr or anything like that, just to have someone to talk with and coordinate with.

We have been getting lots of ruby players on opposite team, so it’s balancing out IMO.

Or they are just friends playing together?

If its a duo queue you honestly shouldn’t have that much of an issue. Full premades I can understand, but duo queues?

Diamond players literally have 1 hr+ queue times for solo queues as well.

I mean, anyone could easily get on a separate f2p account to help lower a friend’s mmr. Even if he wasn’t doing it on purpose, it still seems slightly shady. Anybody in Diamond knows how the mmr works, at least to some extent. I think I’m more worried that playing with someone from Amber is more efficient than soloqueuing. Not to mention, 4 diamonds could queue with an Amber and get many Emerald or Sapphire. It just worries me. I just got to Ruby so I’m pretty afraid all my games with be stomps from people abusing matchmaking

Yeah… For that I would need a second account (preferably with HoT), and grind my way to rank 20 in unranked just to play with my real life friends, without being able to progress in leagues? I also would be unable to play the 9 different professions.

On the contrary, it’s fairer to play with your friends on your main account, cause you at least get saphire and ruby players against you. If I was to play against amber players… Now that would be exploiting.
