Yea, I know…

It is mostly my personal experience… I got no clue as to what my MMR is, so I just think it is “average” – it is what I expect I am anyway… Everything in this thread can basically be deduced to “When I solo, I will lose”

I have personally noticed a huge difference between Solo and queing up with others… Actually, I could say it is as bad as having the current streak (1w 6l) while Solo-ing, while queing up with others will and does certainly give me other results, having close games and generally not having streaks like that…
Also, when 4 out of those 6 losses usually end up with multiple people at the team capslocking to each other “You suck lemons!”, while I am just there for the freaking game, makes it not less frustrating…

It is… kind of annoying to say the very least… I got this competitive drive of myself, which cannot let go unless I won – which makes the experience go down more and more… I know, it is a personal thing… I would’ve stopped playing at my third loss was I somewhat less driven and more calculating I guess…

I am not lying, nor am I whining… I am a bit at a loss I guess, and all I can ask is – is your experience the same when you Solo que versus queing up with friends? I am genuinly interested…

Of course you will do better grouped. I have been able to do a bit over 50% solo though the system is very volatile you can’t panic going 1-6 or worse. Things will even out over time and yes I agree you shouldn’t have to deal with such volatility but it is what it is. Stop playing until they get there act together or deal with it or group more are the only courses of action.

I guess… it reassures me to know what I deal with is not uncommon, though as you say, it is what it is =/

Time for me to find more people to play with on irregular times! \o/

Become a mechanically sound player and pray you get partied with other mechanically sound players. Had a match yesterday where the other team thought my team was a premade just because we all knew how to play our class and had a decent rotation rhythm. Sure, you’ll occasionally run into some premades (like two turret engis, a shout bow, a d/d, and a thief), you’ll just have to take your lumps and move on knowing you aren’t a bad player, they’re just ultra tryhards.

I think I know the answer to this, but don’t you usually play very bursty/squishy builds?

This might explain why you do better when grouped up, as my experience is VERY similar, and I think its because such build require a good team comp to work well. Your experience might be more even if you played one of the popular (and boring) tank builds (d/d ele, cele engie, shoutbow, turret engie) which don’t requires as much team coordination.

The problem often is, when you play something bursty, people don’t really rotate intelligently and tankier players will leave you to 1v1 on a point, when YOU should be +1-ing. When you team up, this is much less likely to happen as you at least have 2 competent people to rotate with on that team.

Yea I guess… In this specific case it was mostly on my Necro, some Ele and two Thief (just started out) – you are absolutely right that people often do not get your role and in the long run, you get punished for it…

The thing is, I have been playing a lot of Warrior/Ele (Necro and Guard as well) for a while and wanted to spruce some things up, as boredom gets to you… Guess it is not the time for it now =/

I have the opposite experience. I’m have a 70% win rate as solo only and when I see a premade on the other team it’s almost always a guaranteed win for me. The matchmaking works, my solo team will be better players in general, which allows us to stomp the premade if they don’t have a high level of coordination. And maybe I’ve been lucky, but most of my teammates are pretty good about rotating and fighting on points.

Hmm? No, I do not mean having a premade on the enemy team – I meant that it is easier, for me, to win with others – and this sentiment is shared and can be deduced to “Play solo-proof builds” (Cele Engi, Ele, War, Broccoli) O.o

I mean, I have seen us losing against randoms (as a premade) and won my fair share of matches against a premade – so that is seriously not an issue to me O.o

It is mostly my personal experience… I got no clue as to what my MMR is, so I just think it is “average” – it is what I expect I am anyway… Everything in this thread can basically be deduced to “When I solo, I will lose”

If your Queue times are usually:
2-4 minutes = Average MMR
7-10 minutes = High MMR

Mine vary from time playing – either 4 minutes on average, and 7-8 minutes when it gets “bad”…

So average it is

he’s right. que with classes and builds that carry. tankness, decent damage, and group support. sure, some say you can carry by winning 1v2 on far but that requires a huge skill disparity. play a build that makes your allies suck less.

People get 2-4 minute queue times? I want. Please.

Also, I generally don’t like to PvP unless we’re at least a 3 queue or more. I find anything less is sort of like a slot machine.

Find/Join a party of low MMR player like from PVE guild or something. Your Q times will be much faster.

I find that it depends what class you play as well. If you are playing a popular/OP class like Engi the queues are longer. Same thing if you are playing one of the 2 daily classes. The worst queues come on day when someone plays engi AND it is the daily class.
