Diminishing returns on stuns/knockbacks/dazes are needed.
1. Stun breaks.
2. Stability.
3. Dodge. (Have you actually watched the hammer animations? My dead grandfather could react quickly enough to avoid 80% of the abilities.)
4. Various traits that proc on stun.
5. Hammer Guardian and a Hammer Warrior, both fighting on the same point? I would love to face the team that runs this and thinks it’s even remotely a good idea in the current meta.
Just saying.
Atlas Ele [glhf]
1. Warrior can shut you down pretty well has 3 stuns on one weapon set.
2.Works
3. Can’t dodge while stunned.
4. Probably depends on class
6. The fact that you are getting 2v1 says enough. I don’t like the format because it encourages uneven battles the whole game. In gw1 it’s nearly unheard of the only time it is heard of is collapsing on splits, and that is to be expected and easily avoided with good communication.
Adding to mine:
6. Blinds.
7. Counter CC.
(Also, you dodge to avoid getting stunned.)
Well there is dimishing returns. You haven’t been hit enough to experience it, however I was playing my warrior, and there was dimishing returns and I highly doubt it was just stability going on.
Almost all of my warrior skills except maybe 3 or 4 are control (kds + stun + fear).
I’m almost positive I seen dimishing returns.
There are not.
There are not.
Have you been hit with 9 different control attacks (Stuns/kds) from the same person?
I’m pretty sure I seen them after like 4 or 5. Almost every person would go invulnerable after a while. I don’t think it was stability.
In your case you are probably dieing to multiple people too fast to get it activated.

melandru runes on armor should help. or lyssa, don’t remember.
if you fear so many stuns blind opponent.
No diminishing returns please
They just need to make it so no class has spammable CC especially stuns.
It’s fine, every form of CC has counters. Getting diminishing returns / immunity would only be a big nerf on the weapon sets with CC, and require rebalancing for that. Abilities would suddenly be unreliable, since you never know how many times a person has alreayd been CC’d . This would give a more random feel to the game, which is (obviously) bad.
When they introduced that stuff in RIFT a few of my souls were broken for months, because they CC they relied on suddenly failed 80% of the time.
So please keep it as it is, and if you personally have trouble with CC, throw in another stability skill.
Worst idea ever!!!
You’d pretty much kill the warrior.
If you’re getting chain stunned etc, invest in stability/traits which activate stability. Since you are I assume you haven’t, meaning you want to be able to spec all damage and not have to sacrifice any points in stability traits.
If you do this, you’re going to have a bad time.
Like the GS warrior I met last night. He clearly had the frenzy/bullrush/endure pain traits, all power and prescision.
I stunned him before he even reached me in a rush. beat him a bit whilst he has frenzy up, then shield stun him again and it’s game over.
If you want stability spec for it.
Oh kitten, OP tactics like stun locks for wars, guardians and thieves are being noticed? QUICK BASH THIS GUY AND HIS ANTI STUN CAMPAIGN!
I play necro and its kittening stupid. You have nothing to get your endurance back, your skills that break stun suck balls, and you have to spend 30 points in soul reaping to see ANY stability (aside from an elite skill which is kitten .
Honestly, you ever wonder why other MMO’s have diminishing returns on CC? Take a guess kids.
TLDR: Chain stuns are kitten OP, ANET has to bring in diminishing returns or people are just going to quit.
Stuns are a problem? Are you serious? Do you even play this game? DO YOU EVEN PLAY THIS KITTEN GAME?
Chain stuns aren’t really that big of a problem, but chain immobilizes kinda are IMO. I wouldn’t mind seeing DR’s for those.
Or at least give me the ability to spin around in place while rooted.
