I’m sure A-Net is well aware, not to mention the entire SPvP player base, that dishonor does absolutely nothing to thwart those that wish to leave their team behind in the dust, and that due to their own incompatence give up on the match leaving their team to lose. After the changes made to the dishonor de-buff we all noticed that no more players left matches! But instead they just stay in the base, moving their characters every now and then so they won’t get kicked, and laugh at their team for trying to have fun playing this game, and complain about how much they are incompetent – despite the fact that they are the ones responsible for the loss with their departure.

What would you guys suggest that A-Net does in order to fix this sadly common issue? IMO the best thing that can be done atm is to implement a way to report those players to ruin the game for us all, so that way if its a common issue with said player and gets a lot of reports for abandoning his team, he will get dishonored! Do you guys have any other suggestions or improve upon mine? Thanks for taking the time to read.

I totally agree with you tho I am experiencing a whole nother problem with the dishonorable thing, sometimes I get alot of dc’s in a row while I’m playing TPVP, when this happens I log back in asap, tho when I get back it happens alot that I’m dishonorable, not for intentionally quitting a match, just because my internet sucks…. it’s very frustrating…..

I report them and then explain they were AFK in spvp, very frustrating when trying to play some good matches.

I got a dishonorable rating just a couple weeks ago to a similar situation….was having trouble with a new video card driver and it crashed me out of 3 matches. I don’t normally quit a match unless something comes up at home where I need to get out of the match pronto to attend to whatever…..but that rarely happens.

Have it keep scaling up for the PvP ban times. 1st offense 2 hours ->days->weeks->month.

If you’re having issues you shouldn’t be playing PvP and wrecking 9 other people’s game. That’s extremely selfish and rude. Go play solo PvE/WvW instead until your issues are resolved.

Fwiw, I did resolve my driver issues. Everything is perfect again. I had never had that problem with my video drivers before, so just wasn’t expecting that to happen. After the 3 crashes, I didn’t enter pvp again until I was sure the problem was fixed. (Tested it out in the PvE mob boss trains and in zergs in WvW)

I personally hate leaving a good PvP pug hung out to dry with one less player.

Haven’t had a crash in PvP since.

This happened to me as well, and when I contacted an admin, I was basically given the definition of what the debuff is, which I already knew of course, why it happens, and gave me a wiki link. They then told me there’s nothing they can do about it.

Some dev told us to report them as bots.
They will then look into it and see what he was doing at the time of the reports.

They have not taken any actions (that I know of) against these players but I keep reporting anyways…

The admin was in the right. See, if you’re crashing out or dcing constantly, and you do it 3 times in rapid succession, then you are making the game terrible for 9 other players every time it happens.

Playing tournaments is not a right, it’s a privilege. If you continually abuse that privilege by dcing all the time, whatever the reason may be, then you lose that privilege for a period of time.
