Disconnecting & afking in a match
pff nice try but you were obviously afk, enjoy your report.
Here’s a tip: if you don’t have anything useful to say, then don’t say anything at all.
From what I have heard, if someone is ACTUALLY intentionally afk, the proper report function is for ‘botting.’ I could be wrong, but I’m just going off of what I’ve heard.
I don’t even …
How is afking == botting ?
“You may not use any third-party program (such as a “bot”) in order to automate gameplay functions, including playing, chatting, interacting, or gathering gold or items within Guild Wars 2.” – Guild Wars 2 Rules of Conduct
That is botting.
Guardian has no alternative :)

From what I was told, it’s because you are accruing rank points without actually earning them.
We use ’botting’ because we *still* don’t have proper report functions appropriate to PvP - something like ’not participating’ would be nice to have.
We’ve definitely been told by someone with a red tag over their name to just keep reporting intentional afk’ers as botting for now. It’s not the right label, but it fits better than the other options do.

Thank you.

What the
I didn’t KNOW I was lagging. I did not start lagging until I had hit ‘Go now’ to enter my match. Basically you’re saying that I deserve being reported & possibly disciplined because of lag which is not even my fault? Bye
What I’m saying is you’re being pretty agressive for someone seeking help on a forum about how the poor you disconected.
Because I’m frustrated? Gee. How dare I be upset about a negative experience I had.
Am I supposed to be like, happy that I was being cursed out and had false statements made against me?
Acting like a frustrated child won’t help you, and being agressive in general will just get you more troubles. People here aren’t responsable for your lag, trust it or not. I however blame the guys playing with you when you had those lags, did you pass your anger on them as well?
Hang afkers…hang them now

I’m not holding anyone accountable on these forums for my lag. I’m not going to tolerate people in-game accusing me of things that are not true, nor am I going to tolerate it on the forums.
I came to these forums asking if ArenaNet had any plans to make differentiating between people who are actually afking & being reported for it versus people who are lagging and being reported falsely. The story I shared about my experience was merely to add context to my question. And instead of reading suggestions or any possible insight, I’ve just read unprovoked attacks and accusations directed towards me.
