I’m sure all of us has had those games where you, a teammate, or an opponent disconnects. What this means is no matter the fight, your team is always outnumbering or being outnumbered.

A possible solution? Well, some things I was thinking was after somebody being disconnected for 30+ seconds the matchmaking brings somebody (solo player) to fill their place. A bonus incentive can be set in place so the fill-in player can get two pips for a win, or simply no lost pips for a loss. Sure, 30 seconds of a player DC’ing could make a significant impact on the game, but at least it will make a chance of coming back.

Another solution? Match forfeiting. Make a command so a team can vote (needs 100% of votes) so the match is forfeited. Being in completely one sided games is not fun, and feels like a complete waste of time to both sides. Let the players decide if they want to continue fighting or accept defeat.

Dishonored is a good step in the right direction for keeping the DC’ers or the ragequitters from queuing, but still needs some work on damage control for their teammates.

What do you guys think?

as it is, unless you’re partied with the d/c’er, you shouldn’t receive a loss in pips (unless they come back in less than 2 mins)

I don’t like the idea of bringing someone in as there would be too many issues with that (people raging about being put on a losing team halfway through a match, getting a second theif/class stacking and no way to change class to counter the other team, etc)

however the option to forfeit, as long as it required all 4 remaining members to vote for it, would be a nice option… so long as the vote wasn’t able to be done before the 2 minute dishonour leeway.
