I’m sure blacklists come up quite often but with the introduction of dishonor I really think it needs to be said. Sometimes you run into people who will deliberately ignore your calls, leave you in the middle of teamfights, and are just terrible team players in general. Recently I’ve had an awful spate of these, to the point of leaving matches.
This got me thinking, that with the dishonor system, I’m the one going to be hitting penalties for these people deliberately throwing matches. I’m sure everyone has had similar experiences, though, and I think that a blacklist so you’re never matchmade on the same team as these people is needed, since currently the ONLY option is leaving a game.
Yes, you can downvote people, but you can be sure that these people are going to downvote you back no matter what, as well.
I can’t see any real abuse of a blacklist, since if you misuse it you’re going to run out of players to play with (and especially if you use it to blacklist decent players). We need this if the dishonor system is going to be worthwhile.

I have another suggestion for you:
Ignore them and continue playing and winning games.
If they are bad teamplayers, then it should not take too long for you, to increase your MMR and never see them again. (Ok, nowadays you will see them anyway, since the playerbase is too small, but I hope the league system will change that.)

The might the few games you are playing with them, but if you are really that much better, every other game, should increase your MMR over theirs, since they will “drag down” their other matches too.

I am not sure if this really the way to go, I mean leaving you in teamfights? hmm even the bests doing it on purpose because they see their CD and know they can’t win it so trying to do smth else, but if the case where a pug leaves you is the same, can’t punnish someone just because they play bad or have something different in their minds.

It’s not far away from saying let’s just play in 5v5 parties and we get no surprise.

I know its sucks to be in a team where you know you gona lose (and atm the matchmaking puts you in the same group of 10-20 peeps over and over again) but think in big, how many lost matches you had where someone said:" Ok we lost because I did this and this wrong…"
Nope, never? Cuz at the end of a bad game most of the player would just blacklist each other and over time we would end up with an hour Q time.

If players would use this feature like it should be used there wouldn’t be too much of a problem, but right now I know many player simply reporting his / her whole team for boting at the end of a lost match.

In 7 matches within the past 10 hours, I’ve played on the same team or opposing team of the same player who throws matches whenever he is sure his team is going to lose. He will literally AFK in his spawn or simply disconnect. This is what I get to experience thanks to the lack of dishonor this game has.

Today I 1on 1/7 matches in both ranked and unranked pvp. I one of them I had a ranger, who whenever the team is losing, he blames the team, when things get tough even though they have the lowest score during the match and ragequits. I have lost count of all the times I reported that person. I wouldn’t want the blacklist but i’d like to have dishonored or simply an option to report a player who afk’s or just leaves a match cause when they do, the rest of the team is instantly doomed. Simple as that. I have ended up wasting my time because of the same ragequitters, and ok, it’s easy when the ragequit happens to the other team, but that’s not flattering. You win but you don’t deserve it. And then it happens to your team and you are seconds away from tableflipping. The last 4 days I’ve managed to hate pvp because of such people.

I suggest you edit your post do remove the name. ArenaNet has a no name-andshame policy to protect and encourage wrongdoers, and you’re liable to receive an infraction.
