Dishonorable
And how would they be able to make a difference between someone disconnecting and someone just inactivating their internet when losing?
If you don’t have a stable connection/power/whatever it might be a good idea to not join ranked matches until it is solved. Since it does hurt everyone in a game when there is a 4v5 match.

I have been a very active PvPer since prerelease of the game. My electric problems are recent (this week) and random, it has happened in maybe 1/20 matches i have played, but since this is comulative it happened once more today and now I have the debuff.
This debuff doesnt really work, since you have never been able to leave a match (you are forced to enter the match as soon as you log back in), so what people always do is wait in spawn until the match ends.
Now I cant play, and my friends wont play without me, so its ruining the playing experience of several people.
Yes, and you suddenly leaving a party during a match-up ruins the game much more.
They can CHOOSE to play without you, but if I play and you suddenly disconnect from the game I can’t choose to not play 4v5, I am FORCED to do it.

Fix your connection / pay taxes or play hot joins only. I don’t want to be in a team in a ranked match with someone like you.
I am talking about Team Arena, where I q with my friends. My friends know why I dc, they understand. It is completely different to a random DCing on your solo arena.
Solved the problem, Ill just use the account of one of my many friends who left gw2 when they realized the pvp was not important to the devs
Thanks for the help though, anet
I play ‘the system’ with dishonourables, basically rule of thumb any team with 2+ Eles or 2 Mesmers leave before match starts.
Its called taking a ‘dishonourable’…
Heh don’t blame me. Blame the system Anet put in place and for not making a balanced PvP game…
Essentially kept track over a 100 games with 2 Ele’s+ and another 100 with 2 Mesmers+, found any such game resulted in a loss 90%+ of the time…

Stick to hotjoin then. Dcing for a few seconds and up to a minute is huge

Sigh…
If you’ll stop trying to justify calling him a bad person for one second… do you know how many 4v5s are caused by legitimate issues like this?
Go play any other game (like LoL normals mode) and see how often you end up with 4v5s.
It’s not much.
At this point the reason leaving is such a problem in GW2 is because of PvE splashover.
The current leaving penalty doesn’t hurt PvE splashover, it gives them a grace period where they can leave 2 matches they don’t like without any penalty before getting their achievement and going back to PvE.
That is bad, that is very bad.
If the penalty did something like… take into account a games-played verse leave ratio over the past week or two… then it would work.
If a PvE’er decides to just hop into a few games every few days and leave matches he doesn’t like… that data should be stored and he gets punished far more quickly and severely (he has a very high leave/games-played ratio) than someone who was in 50+ matches over one weekend and had bad internet so happened to DC in 3.

seriously though, I hate that all the glory and rank i get on the other account is for nothing
