thats some problem with the useless reporting system i think

its only there for the placebo effect so people feel they did something to the afk player

but you cant report them and would you can report them noone would care so at the end – all is vain

i really dont think on arenanet side are sitting people on this report feature

you can see this on goldseller reports – i get same messages for days now and sometimes 2 per hour and report them all – and i know a lot other players reprot them too but nothing happens

There should be an AFK kick if you don’t leave the base within 30 seconds of start or spawn in my opinion.

There should be an atm kick if everyone on the team decides it so. As in right click name select kick.

Sure, maybe in hotjoin this might be ok. But for any other format how would kicking a person help your team in any way? I’m a huge advocate of a ‘Ready’ button before a game’s start, sure it would mean slightly longer queues but would reduce the amount of 4v5s.

i also got dishonorable today. we were winning and i still got the chests when i logged in. my pc crashed and when i tried to come back to the game, patch happened. now i cant play tourneys for 2 days. cries

A bit off topic, but I want to complain. I’ve never been AFK during a match, but I regularly receive these warning messages that I’ll be kicked if I don’t play actively. Always before the game has even started, probably just because I don’t move while waiting the game to start. It’s not that important, I can run around if needed.

The problem is I recieve them also during the game if I play bunker. If my point is safe I usually stay at 1 position which allows me to watch all the paths coming to my point and I also watch the map and the state of my teammates so i don’t need and don’t want to move.

When I receive this message I move a bit before go back to my position, but it’s still annoying and a bit scaring. I’m always like what if someday they just kick me without warning? Or what if someday I just miss/ ignore the message, because it looks pretty much like lets say “Scarlet minions are attacking your cellar”?

Run around in base saying ,, AFK. " and then everyone going like LOLREPORTED.

And the whole system got trolled hard XD

Why does dishonorable look so cool? its a beam of light coming off of the player model right? Anet you should actually make it mean something bad like being totally invisible in hotm unable to communicate with anyone in spvp.

Don’t be so short-sighted. He’s doing us all a favor by highlighting just how useless and pathetic the current system is.
Every big-name online game has ways to minimize the impact of AFK’s/leavers/disconnects…except GW2, a game which is perfectly happy to let 4v5 matches happen and provide plenty of room to leave/AFK.

The more people abuse the current system, the higher chance that devs will notice it and fix it. Respect those players for it, especially that guardian who went 3+ months AFK’ing in Solo Queue matches and showed everyone how easily he could get away with it, and how pointless reporting is. He was finally dealt with after multiple threads where created in this forum about him, only then the devs noticed (lol).

A solution is LONG overdue.

Dwelling on the details is silly, please give the PvP community an ETA on when the 4v5 solution is coming (if you know by any chance). There appear to be no systems in place to deal with a very common thing in online gaming, systems that should’ve been there at release. Thank you.
