Dishonorable problem

You didn’t get the memo the world revolves around Liean
i know i have negative inpact on team but with crashing happening every few hours i can easly play many games without issue. I dont have anything agains that buff as a concept but 2 days punishment from pvp for pc crashing 2 times today is really unfair imo.

There is not much worse than sitting in a queue, getting into a match and then automatically losing because one of your teammates didn’t show up or dropped out. To the player that loses, it doesn’t matter if the missing player’s house burned down, if they died of old age, or they have a crappy laptop. It can be an infuriating experience.
So, although I do feel sorry for your laptop issue, I feel sorrier for the person that loses when your GPU finally overheats and he loses because of it.
yea but pvp match is 15 min max and after you lose you can jump in to the next one afterwards so its only 15 min loss and i have 2 days time loss for not my fault. 4-5 hr should be ok but why 2 days?

It would have to crash 3 times at the very end of a match in the same day to get Dishonorable for 2 days.
dunno how it works, its first time ive ever seen this.
You can still play hotjoin, stop ruining tourneys.
I can confirm that this system is flawed.
Just now I disconnected from a match that we were winning, & minute after, came back with the de – buff.
So I can understand the frustration if you are really not the type of guy to leave if losing.
As far as I am concerned, I am happy that the system is in the game, but it needs to find, if possible, a way to separate disconnects from Alt + F4-ers.

Dude I’ve dc’d a couple of times (weeks apart) and I didn’t get the dishonorable buff.. You have to DC a couple of times for you to get to debuff, and if you DO get it, fix your internet for when you can come back and just do some Hotjoins.
It sucks, I can empathize.. but also realize that when you DC.. you just cost your team the game 9 times out of 10.
Every time you aren’t present during the end of the game or are booted by AFK kick you get an invisible 72 hour debuff, the AFK kick stacks so you will get 2 if you don’t reconnect. At 3 stacks the first stack becomes visible and you cannot join tourney games for the remaining time. After that time expires you will still have the 2 remaining stacks counting down invisibly for the remaining time.
I can confirm that this system is flawed.

They can’t, it will be abused.
If they made it so that way only people who close the game get penalized, people would start turning their firewall to block all connections or pull network cable to abuse it.
Only rated PvP has this issue you can still play hot joins if you want
omg, img going to buy high-end desktop in 2-3 months but this de-buff means no pvp arena for few months for me

Honestly, the reason why this is an issue to some people is that you NEED tourneys to progress past 2 tracks in spvp. The end all solution to this would be to add a non-ranked spvp system. Then there would be nothing to complain about..
cough devs cough
To be honest the servers have been kinda DCing a lot since the patch. I have had no issues prior, so might be just that… (check tech support forums if interested)

Leavers would still be a problem in an unranked queue. If you’re asking for a queue that is unranked and allows to leave without punishment, then you’re essentially duplicating hotjoin.

Yeah this is true. If you have connection or hardware issues you shouldn’t enter tourneys and ruin it for others too.
You leave your team as 4v5 and make them lose, why mustn’t you be punished?
The system works allright. The problem is your laptop, you have to buy a desktop with at least mid-range setup. Laptops aren’t for gaming as they have less thermal solution and half/quarter the shader units of a desktop gpu.(mobile versions)

As soon as I wrote that, I realized that it is probably next to impossible to determine if it’s a disconnect / power going off or people abusing the “Alt + F4 / internet cable unplug”. With that said, the system is still flawed, since there is no way to determine the real reason.
But all that aside, I couldn’t careless if I was banned for 2 days from Arena after legitimate disconnect on a match that I was winning. The problem I personally have is the red de – buff sitting on your name like a god kitten mark of shame.
During the 2 days of being stuck with it, whoever you get in touch with in game, 1st thing people do is link the de – buff in chat. Whether you can laugh away or take the jokes being thrown you way, this gets very frustrating after a while, especially if you are not really guilty of charge, and have to explain to everyone what happen. Luckily, I am in a friendly small guild group, so I evaded that annoyance, but I could only imagine the frustrations you would come across if you join a random party, open world, PvP or dungeon ones.
The whole point of my post is, if you can’t for certain determine the reason of a disconnect, and have to ban the person, fine, whatever but at least remove the red, very noticeable de – buff from people’s names so you’re not sitting there with a mark of shame for two days whenever you log on.
